Best Laptop to get?

Its almost xmas time & I want a laptop. Ive never had one before. I want one that burns dvds and can get on the internet wherever u go. Any suggestions? oh! and I want it to be a good price.

The software that comes with the Mac is worth more than the computer.
Keep that in mind as well.....and u don't really need that silly virus protection software.

less than a thousand. i like the macs in the link. i tried amazon and they got sum laptops for 600 but there mixed reviews.

Never had a problem, myself. And - truthfully - wouldn't you say Mac versions follow because of market share?
