Love fashion but working at home means I'm usually in pjs or less everyday. So, I love getting a chance to turn it out when I go out. My style icon is definitely Diane von Furstenberg, queen of the wrap dress. I'm kinda conservative but I like elegant, simple lines in black or bold prints. I don't wear pants, EVER, or own a pair of jeans. I have all kinds of dresses but my fave is always the wrap dress (I have a few dozen) because nothing flatters a curvy or busty figure like a wrap dress. I bought both of these dresses this week and I can't wait to rock 'em. mushy

we have a dress similar to the dark on in the bottom picture in our clothing department. Its a bit more over the top than that one though. Looks like something Bette Midler would wear. IMO

A Boutique that carries housewares and clothing jewelry. We have exclusivity to the lines we carry in our area located near Chicago. It caters to the wealthy people who own lake homes in the area. Pretty much all the lines we carry are at Neiman Marcus. We also do interior design, which is pretty much my area and the housewares. And there is a floral department. Its kind of like Jayson Home & Garden with the addition of clothing and jewelry.
Someone tried the dress on this weekend and it didnt look so Bette Midler. She was much taller and thinner than the persons I had seen try it on. There is a picture of Bette Midler in a similar dress around the time of the remake of the Stepford Wives movie.

Is it instinctive? Do you grab whatever feels 'right'?

Yes, mood defendant, somewhat instinctive influenced by the events of the day

Or do you go by what the weather forecast says?

This as well,

Do you plan it the night before?

For big occasions, important meetings but not generally. I might have a passing thought about what to wear the next day in the evening.

Do you stress over your choices? lol

yes and no

Or give it no thought?
Always give it some thought.

How would you describe your style?

I am influenced by current trends but I don't "follow" fashion. I am usually smart casual, I don't do sloppy. I like the chance to dress up and put a suit on and in this case i am influenced by italian design.

What's your favourite item of clothing?
I don't think I have a favorite

And your biggest fashion blunder?
no no no!

Do you have a style icon?
nobody in particular, but you can't go wrong withe these cats

Not that I think they have style but the people who dress them do. Just need to work on the looks.

What are you wearing now?

Some brown leather lace up boots, a pair of dk blue Diesel jeans, and a fitted wide vertical stripe shirt in brown.

i concur with most of this

Totally mood-based. I rarely plan in advance. And it's almost never stressful; I like fashion, I like clothes, but when I'm not in the mood, I just throw on my urban-hippie gear and be done with it. Like today. My favorite slouchy jeans, a brown wifebeater, a long brown-and-brass beaded necklace, and tan corduroy shoes. My current hair situation lends itself to sexy bedhead. Zero effort, I look fine. shrug

I'm not consistent. Sometimes I look like I just walked out of Hot Topic, sometimes it's more Goodwill grungy, sometimes it's funky artsy, and sometimes I pull out my designer bags and silk scarves and glam a mutherfucker up. Mood.

I love it when people put some thought into what they wear. Says a lot about a person, and it's fun. smile

How do you decide what to wear each day?

It really depends on whether or not I'm going to be seen. Lately, comfort comes first.

Is it instinctive? Do you grab whatever feels 'right'?

Based upon the situation, yes. If I'm going to spend all day looking for a job online, chances are the three-piece suit stays in the closet (with the rest of the fun stuff).

Or do you go by what the weather forecast says?

Where I live, you have to take the summer into consideration, or wind up in complete misery. No point in putting on a lot of makeup if the sun is just going to melt it all away.

Do you plan it the night before?

Only for weddings, job interviews, first dates, etc....

Do you stress over your choices? Or give it no thought?

Not as much as I could. I rarely get new additions to the wardrobe, so I know what I have and I'm pretty set in my ways.

How would you describe your style?

I lean towards darker colours, though I'll wear brighter things in the summer. The quality of the garment ranges from destitute to debutant. That pretty much sums me up.

What's your favourite item of clothing?

Right now, my sunglasses. Absolutely love them. I also have two pair of Converse One Stars I've owned since the mid-nineties that still look okay.

And your biggest fashion blunder?

Besides my hair (which has had many a bad day in the last 15 years), I generally know what I'm doing when I get dressed.

Do you have a style icon?

It varies from year to year. David Bowie is probably the most obvious reference, but he's a chameleon. The more conservative side of his manner of dress is about my speed. I like the way Alicia Keys presents herself too. Keri Hilson. Prince and Brian Molko, when it comes to makeup.

What are you wearing now?

A lot of blue.

How do you decide what to wear each day? - Just as long as it's different from what I wore during the week

Is it instinctive? Do you grab whatever feels 'right'? - Yes

Or do you go by what the weather forecast says? - Yes because I hate being cold!

Do you plan it the night before? - No - but I should because it will save time

Do you stress over your choices? - Often - yes

How would you describe your style? - I like to look sexy and younger but that doesn't always work for me.

What's your favourite item of clothing? And your biggest fashion blunder? - Favourite would be the short black skirt, biggest blunder would be the frilly stuff, I always look like a clown in this stuff

Do you have a style icon? - No - should I?

What are you wearing now? - Today I actually looked good - I wore my tight blue straight leg jeans with a embroided brown T shirt (not too fitted) and my fav. high brown shoes.
This co-worker says I have a nice booty in jeans so I like wearing jeans to work.

How do you decide what to wear each day? It varies. Sometimes I plan things out, sometimes I just grab whatever's clean.

Is it instinctive? Do you grab whatever feels 'right'? Knowing what will look and feel right is definitely an instinct. shrug

Or do you go by what the weather forecast says? I try to. But the weather people here suck. disbelief

Do you plan it the night before? Sometimes. Especially if I'm wearing something new. I want to have all the elements together.

Do you stress over your choices? Every damn day. disbelief

Or give it no thought? Never.

How would you describe your style? Sophisticated. Always pulled together. Not afraid of color.

What's your favourite item of clothing? Depends on the day - and sometimes on the hour.

And your biggest fashion blunder? Overdressing. redface

Do you have a style icon? When I was younger, it was Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly (their 50s looks). I wore lots of big skirts and tiny waists (think Sabrina or Rear Window).

I can't really rock that anymore, so now I look more to Bette Davis or Rosalind Russell. And I'm still looking for that pair of pants Ava Gardner wore in Mogambo. Best ever.

What are you wearing now? Jammies. redface
