I dislike it a lot and think it is one of the main reasons for slowed down progress in modern day societies. It´s something I fight against almost daily.

I can honestly say that I don't know anyone who hates women as a whole. confuse

i find the different kinds of misogyny interesting. in the south, people are not as forthright with their feelings, so you may get a false sense of inclusion. whereas in the northeast, i'm finding both the condescension and the passive-aggressiveness to be more pronounced. i'm having to learn a whole new way of dealing with it - right now, i'm at the point of just working with what i have, which is the support of the women i work with. i could sit around and stew over why some of my male co-workers won't respond to my e-mails or phone calls, or i can just work with the women who want to move ahead with the project. shrug

Women are beautiful period. I am against hate of any kind anyway. To those that truly dislike or hate women, I'd like tor emind them where they came from...

I don't.

Dealing with it is acknowledging it which I refuse to do.

Misogyny is so passé, anyway.

I run with a pretty open-minded crowd IRL so the place I encounter serious misogyny most often is on the internet. The place out in the real world I'm most likely to encounter is the hardware store. Big surprise there, eh?

I was in at Rona today buying replacement electrical sockets. Not being able to find them, I asked an employee where they were. He took the time to explain to me step by step what to do with them in a clearly condescending way. Thanks, buddy. But if I don't know how to replace them, why would I be buying them? Jackass. Next time I'm going in there I'm asking a female staff for directions.

How does one apply to become misogynistic?

I was a member of a misogynistic religion when I was younger. They said everyone is equal in the eyes of God, but men are more equal than women. neutral
They really carry it to the extreme.

I have a lot of residual issues because of the abuse from this policy.

Organized religion is one of the biggest proponents of misogyny in the history of the world, all the way back to the allegory of Eve biting the apple.

Then we have corporations like Wal-Mart, the largest employer in the US who are the defendants in a class action lawsuit for systematic discrimination of women on the basis of pay and promotion, among other things. That lawsuit is still being fought today. I vividly remember one litigant recalling her story of being told a male peer was paid more than she was as he had a wife and children to support and she was a single woman.

i was thinking of starting my own religion, like a sex cult or something, and get everyone to leave all their money to me in their will and then kill themselves in a mass suicide so they can meet jesus

but tom cruise stole my fucking idea!

rage against it! mad

i resent the sheer stupidity of anyone who cannot see the value of equal counterparts.

the universe is made up of positive, negative, matter, anti-matter.

it bothers me that so many countries, political and social sytems, and systems of religious belief exclude women from participating in what are considered to be basic civil liberties.

how can any organization, especially mainstream churches, make claim to an ounce of sanity when they exclude the female portion of the planet's populace from their hallowed halls?

then again, the history of humankind is filled with examples of discrimination, for one reason or another, or no reason at all.

i have a few gay male friends where i don't know if they are misogynistic because they feel women should be treated equally but can't stand them and the only women in their wife are their mothers. other than that they don't say very nice things about women.
