That $350 one, a friend of mine found something similar too, with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, for $200 a month. It was a detached house too, not a semi like that one. lol

I LOVE the "no flood if heavy raining." disclaimer... lol

I have been through so much emotional stress in the last few days that I felt I was close to a nervous break-down. Right now things are better again and I hope it will stay like this beg.
With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! And if, then I hope that I would then have wen in my environment who joins me in the A....

comfort

To answer the pressing question at hand as far as this all important thread goes.

I would not say that I am stressed. Anxious is a much better word. Anxious, worried, excited, scared as hell.

Don't worry, everything will be fine and Selden will have the most awesome parents he could dream of hug.

Yes. If I don't get my thesis done for next week, I might have to end up paying back around 5000 euros for the government (education is publicly funded over here).

Awww touched
Thank you.
I have done some scary, out of my comfort zone things in my life so far but this takes the cake.
This is something that I take very seriously and I realize that what I am embarking on right now is going to effect many ppl, not just myself.
Huge responsibility.

I can imagine it must be scary, but it probably will be just natural once you are in the middle of the situation comfort. I guess it is just such a new situation that cannot be compared to anythng else that makes it frightening pat

nod

That and the fact that all of the other "crazy" things I have done in the past have only effected myself.
Bringing another life into this world and being responsible for it is very new and different.

Part of me would rather climb Mt. Fuji. If I failed at it, I would only be letting myself down.

Yes I know you are right. Had a discussion with my Aunt and cousin recently. My cousin gave birth natural, no drugs or intervention with both of her daughters.
My cousin is good at making everything a competition.

Ahh well, I will just feel blessed to have a healthy baby.

i can survive on very little. when i was saving for my first trip to england i cut back to eating once a day. lol

cheap beer? british and german men? i'm THERE.

Same here, but I run the air-conditioning too much. It makes up over half of the power bill, and there are 3 televisions, about 6 fans, 3 fridges, a washing machine, fish tanks etc. lol

a 640ml bottle of Singha is $1.70 at the mom and pop store or supermarket. In a local restaurant about $2.35 and in Khao San Road about $3 woot! A 10 minute taxi ride costs about $2. Thailand is definitely very cheap.

Oh, wow ! Didn´t know that you had fishtanks. I have two fishtanks and I´m going to set up a third one in the next couple of weeks, a very big one. What type of fish do you keep?
I started with Siamese fighter fish ( bettas) ages ago but these days I have shell dweller cicchlids and South American types.
I saw a bank right at the beginning of Khao San Rd. where the clerk had probably 10 or 15 little jars with bettas in them. Horrible ! But other than that, I was quite impressed with the fishtanks there. And I found those terracotta fish bowl on the sidewalks/pavements quite interesting. Classic stuff.

enabler!!

wouldn't i have to speak thai too? confuse

GurRL, no of course not.

There are business men and teachers here who barely no how to tell the Taxi man where to go.

Every street sign is also marked in English in addition to Thai, and all the malls and shopping complexes have English speaking clerks.
Also, all the movie theatres show more English movies than Thai (except you might have to put up with Thai subtitles lol ).

Now, venture a couple of hours outside of Bangkok and if you don't know Thai, your ass will need to do ALOT of hand gestures and draw pictures lol

I went from Bangkok to Chantaburi and Trad and Lempnong and then to Khao Chang without speaking Thai. By bus and other vehicles. It was a moving experience that I´ll never forget. lol
And I miss authentic Thai cuisine. Bangkok almost killed me but I would love to go back there.
And I used to be in the freelance teaching business, too ( English, German and Turkish) , so I know what you´re going through. It´s a very rewarding job though, but not in the materialistic sense. lol
Orger JDInteractive is also a TEFL teacher,he´s in South Korea.

I can recommend you books by Jeremy Harmer, you can learn a lot from his books.
He wrote How To Teach English and other essential stuff. Especially his book from 2003 is a must have if you´re serious about your job.

If you come over here we can work on your German skills. wink

I have to go to a shelter and wait 7 days to get case management and housing assistance. jesus christ man...I had to stay in a motel for the past 2 nights, I'm running out of money because I'm not working, my classes don't start again for another 3 weeks, my teacher gave me some BOOTY ASS internship I'm not even going to take because it's an insult to my talent...i haven't slept in a month...
