the lesson i've learned from this thread is that you're never too old to be pushed around in a stroller.

My Mom works at the customer service desk at the mall, and has gotten cussed out because people try to squeeze grown men & women into strollers. She'll tell them the child is too large and she can't rent it, and people GO OFF!
My pet peeve: PACIFIERS!!!!! I can't stand to see big kids with those damn things in their mouths! "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

If you're taking him to a red carpet event, yes I think he is. If you're taking him on Walk America, no. You're going to need that stroller, believe me. Shake it til ya make it

one time i saw a kid in a stroller READING A BOOK. another time, i overheard a kid in a stroller ASKING HIS MOMMY FOR A CUP OF COFFEE. i mean, come on people. i'm going to be 39 this week, and i'd LOVE to still be pushed around in a stroller. but you know what? at some point, my parents decided that lines needed to be drawn. if a child is drinking coffee and reading books = NO MORE STROLLER. [Edited 8/19/09 14:01pm] You're totally heartless!

My 6 year old daughter Kelly used a stroller only until she could walk, then she ditched it on her own. But last weekend we went to Disneyland, and I rented her one of those jogger type strollers with 2 wheels in the back and one in the front. She needed it, we were walking from 8am until 11pm.

child in a stroller, but too old for it = 800 pound adult riding in a rascal at Disney World.

By the time I was two, I was talking and starting to read. I hardly ever got carried unless it was nighttime and I got sleepy somewhere. Other than that, I walked with my dad everywhere he didn't take his car. As a matter of fact, he said that I sort of threw my stroller down the stairs one day and decided to run instead of actually walking....
I am so screwed if my kids are as eccentric as I was. Back on topic--I had no idea he was THAT old. I thought he was just really big for a lil kid. It happens, you know. But if that's the case, it's time for mommy and daddy to let junior walk. Pushing a heavy little body in a stroller is gonna be hell on that back.

Same with my son. He has always prefered to walk. But 2 years old is not too old for a stroller.
