My son had to show me. He's a billionaire on there lol your basically doing jobs to collect money in order to buy properties and become the king pin. Apparently I like sticking up people and robbing them. they have a function where you can punch the shit out of somebody if your too small of a fish to attack back or rob them. Love it.

I keep seeing this on facebook. I don't have the slightest clue about the premise of the game.
Is it something similar to the buy/sell/trade people game? That one got me a bit edgy cause of the whole selling humans as commodities aspect and the fact I ended up with a bunch of creepy old bears requesting to add me to their facebook friends list confused

No. its just a game where you work your way up to being a mob boss or a made man. I'm a fan of mob and gangster stuff so I adore it lol

How do you do that?
I'm trying to figure out the strategy. I *hate* adding applications to facebook so I'm weary boxed

It is an application nod. You gain money, levels and loot through jobs and wacking people. if its not your cup o tea don't lol It took me a minute to accept it cause I thought it was some bull at first too.

I got from Level 1 to 400 in less than a week with all missions mastered (no cheats, no hacks, no bots, no buying points). I missed some achievements on the way but still seems like an easy game.

I got into it a bit, but actually it's a pretty pointless game. There's not really any skill involved. Just a time sink.

I tried the game where you own people, but it seems that the players who were first to join are so ahead of you in resources you could never catch up.
It was pointless.

But it seems to be a big selling feature of facebook. I like ning's model better than facebook as far as social networking, but lately my IRL friends are only finding me on facebook. It's like I have these accounts out there souly for them to find me, but when they *do* find me, we just end up sending each other app invites. lol
pointless!

People keep sending me this game and challenging me. I don't know what it is and I don't wanna play. The next person that sends it is getting deleted from my friends list! mad

lol I've been indirectly told to stop sending mafia requests. But they are in the damn system I don't do it on purpose. They can always opt out of Mafia Wars

Never heard of Ning. Are you on twitter?

I can't tell you how many times I've refused/ignored that game.
I don't need yet another thing to distract me from getting work done.
