your favourite pastasalad

It is the hottest day of the year in Belgium. I'm still home correcting tasks, but after work I'm going to a picknick in the park with my friends. I promised to make a pastasalad, but I'm tired of the usual one with tuna. I want to make another one.

Any suggestions?

The ingredients have to be quite simple as I don't have the time to go to a supermarket, a small shop will have to do...

I would just cook some pasta and drain it, then sprinkle some paprika flakes on it. Then, I´d chop some dried tomatoes or some red paprika/bell pepper, chop some parsley, crushed garlic and crushed black pepper, sprinkle some dried basil on top of everything, a bit of olive oil, toss it up real good. Then wait a bit,in the meantime cut sweet red onions ( in rings OR small cubes, whatever you like....I prefer thinly sliced rings).
Maybe add some thinly cut slices of chicken breast if you HAVE to have some meat in in.But I would much rather grate some big piece of parmesan cheese into it, big pieces, not finely grated but big, chunky pieces.

Toss it, add some more olive oil,....et voilá ! lol

...and don´t forget to put some olives into it...but pitted ones for convenience.

....or feta cheese, if you don´t have parmesan.

This sounds like a winner. In the end, I didn't have enough time though, so I stuck to my old habits (tuna, cumcumber, tomatoes, corn, apples and mayonnaise) and it was good too smile I'll try this one next time.
