These are done strand by strand either with keratin hair glue, wax based hair glue, or micro link loops can also be used. I've attempted to do these on myself and ended up ripping some of my hair out using that wax based stuff. I've never done it again after that.

Shaniqua and co. perfected the art of hair weaving. As God is my witness, even Donatella Versace use to get her blond weave done in uptown New York for years before the trend went mainstream. She would get it done in Harlem, or fly the Sistas to wherever she needed to get her hair done anywhere in the world. From what I've seen in the last decade, it's the Oribes and Frederick Fekkais and Ken Paves fucking up good weaves now, an at ridiculous $1000+ prices. I say if a woman wants a good weave done, superstar or not, she only needs to go straight to Atlanta (everywhere you turn around there's a beauty salon), or to the Flea Market in North Miami and let Rosa or Charlene hook her up. They make sure you come out fried, died, and laid to the side

I was surprised to learn Kimora Lee rocks hair pieces. I thought she always had bundles o' locks. Guess they were purchasable locks.
