These are done strand by strand either with keratin hair glue, wax based hair glue, or micro link loops can also be used. I've attempted to do these on myself and ended up ripping some of my hair out using that wax based stuff. I've never done it again after that.

WOW!!!! biggrin But it does seem that fusion (loop kind) would be more hair folicle friendly and easier to remove than the glue stuff.

The sad part is these shitty weaves are belonging to women who can afford much better. It's one thing to get your weave done by shiniqua or lourdes in the hood but when you are going to so called top notch LA and NYC salons and walking out with your crap shedding, hanging, and being all exposed well....either you're stupid or your stylist thinks you're stupid in which case...you're still stupid.

The thing is, Shiniqua and Lourdes an 'nem are the one who know how to do the weaves correctly, because that's where this all started to go down, in the hood lol . Shaniqua and co. perfected the art of hair weaving. As God is my witness, even Donatella Versace use to get her blond weave done in uptown New York for years before the trend went mainstream. She would get it done in Harlem, or fly the Sistas to wherever she needed to get her hair done anywhere in the world. From what I've seen in the last decade, it's the Oribes and Frederick Fekkais and Ken Paves fucking up good weaves now, an at ridiculous $1000+ prices. I say if a woman wants a good weave done, superstar or not, she only needs to go straight to Atlanta (everywhere you turn around there's a beauty salon), or to the Flea Market in North Miami and let Rosa or Charlene hook her up. They make sure you come out fried, died, and laid to the side sexy sexy sexy

You know those dudes are wrong when they appear on Home Shopping or QVC networks peddling their watered down hair care products. Ken Paves and Jessica Simpson are on one of those shopping channels selling their doll hair clip-ons. disbelief

These poor celeb chicks are getting ripped off big time. Shit I could do them up for maybe...2 Fiddy Five.

The glue is not good. Nope. Natural hair is pretty no matter it's texture but you gotta have SOME. Solange needs a little more with some curl definition.and Amber Rose...well, I'm sorry but she look like a skin head in drag sometimes. Too damn short, nothing to even pinch. Yeah, yeah, Kanye pinching other thangs.

I like the short fade she's rocking, too. You can't tell in this photo, but I saw others from this same event where when she's looking dead on into the camera, you're just awestruck at how pretty she is. She has large, expressive eyes, very deep, and a great smile. Her face has completely opened up now that she doesn't have 50lbs of Yaki hanging off of it. This is a look that works for her, and besides she needs her own identity in terms of style.

Find someone who will teach you the proper way.
Do you have any friends who wear them? Or a good wig-shop should have a "station" where you can sit and they show you what to do. Don't be scared. hug

You can find some slick fun styled where you don't have to do much in the way of styling.

I was surprised to learn Kimora Lee rocks hair pieces. I thought she always had bundles o' locks. Guess they were purchasable locks.

Does anyone know if Cher still has hair? She's been wearing wigs for what seems like a lot of years now. Good goose what if she Sinead O'Connor when the curtain closes. eek
