An Anne Arundel County woman spotted items stolen from her home being offered at a yard sale Saturday, police said. Police said around midday Saturday, the woman, who had moved in with a friend several months ago but left her property, called police to say that as she was driving, she spotted her stolen items for sale in front of a home in the 800 block of Reece Road in Severn. The man holding the yard sale was arrested, and a search of his home turned up about $25,000 worth of the woman's property, police said. Police charged David Anthony Perticone, 46, of the 800 block of Reece Road, with two counts of burglary and felony theft. The woman's property was returned to her, police said.

Something similar happened to a girfriend of mine in the US. She went antiquing one day at a second hand place only to find the french doors that were stolen from her house during its' rennovation a month before. Thankfully, she and the shop owners were able to work it out

Many years ago I worked in the local unemployment office. One day our finance officer was late for work because her car had been stolen. Later that day, it pulled up outside the office and the driver came in to sign on. Delays were invented and the police were called. RIP

I heard a story about someone taking a display apart in the back, outdoors, of a Home Depot and then bringing it into the store and up to the cashier for a full refund.

My best friend was a D.J. and he had 2 crates of records stolen from him. He marked all his records.
One day we were at the flea market and there they were. The guy said that he had bought them off of someone. He didn't make a fuss, he gave my friend all of his records back. that's bold and cold.
I had my car broken into once. they stole the cases I had in the trunk and missed the case with the actual cd's in the car. Fuckin' amateurs (but lucky for me ) A year later I was standing outside smoking real early in the morning and I had all my stuff in my car because I was moving....and these punkasses pulled up right in front off my house and started peeping in folk's car about to steal. Needless to say punks were cussed out and popo was called! I can't abide a thief!!
