ALSO, that cream perfume stuff that came in the Avon cameo pendant necklaces...does anyone know what I'm talking about?...that smell reminds me of my mom. I think she kept one of those pendants in her desk, so a bunch of her belongings smelled like that perfume for years and years.

I think I know what you're talking about. Was it a really strong, perfumey smell?
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

The smell of piss in public places takes me back to my childhood. That is usually until I recognize the smell, can name it and start feeling nauseated because of it. Before that moment, it's just more of an ambivalent sensation.

I'm not kidding, I'm just being very, very honest here. lol

Also the overt smell of rubber takes me back to my years between 7-10 and when I was playing ice hockey. The locker rooms next to ice rinks had the floors covered usually with thick rubber, because the skates would easily dull otherwise.

nod

My dad had a (cheap) cologne bottle in the shape of a Mallard duck that used to love to play with when I was 4 or 5 years old. He kept it next to his bottle of Old Spice.

So when I smell Old Spice, I think of dad, and that Mallard duck bottle!
