Exactly. I know they were under her spell but all the slapping/hitting just twisted me the wrong way a bit... I really, really hated that scene. I know this is chauvinist, but I could deal with Tara hitting Eggs; his hitting her back, though, totally destroyed the bizarre amusement of that scene for me. One other thing I didn't like was the Jason/Sarah showdown. I wasn't crazy about how he pushed her down at the end, but what bugged me more was how she was so out of character throwing around the F-bombs! I know she is supposed to be conflicted and REALLY pissed, but I think it would have been funny if she used her own made-up "bad words." I also would have enjoyed seeing the Dallas vamps eat a few people before Godrich went all Gandhi. But other than that, this was probably my second-favorite episode of the season. It moved along really well, resolved some things, hinted at other future things, and it had a ferocious cliff hanger. [Edited 8/10/09 18:39pm] Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

She wasn't there for the big Sanctuary scene and she doesn't know that Jason told Steve. To me, it looked like Steve was surprised when Jason said he'd been to Heaven and it was inside his wife, so I'm thinking she didn't get around to telling Steve she slept w/ Jason. when bill's maker tasted that boy, she said he tasted different,, wasn't that same thing also said about sookie before? what could they be exactly? Good catch. Billed directly asked Sookie the same question in the pilot episode. I haven't read the books, but I'm aware there is something going on. that's the scene yes, thank you. i'm really curious to see where they're going with the bellboy story

I've been kinda mulling over the Maryanne storyline.
Carl has been MIA for a bit now. Pretty much since they ended up in Sookie's house. I'm starting to think that Carl may be Dionysus. Maryanne is a manaed, a worshipper of Dionysus. Shram, in chat said he thinks Sam is and just doesn't remember, but I think Maryanne is so after Sam because he won't come to her willingly. I love True Blood I'm firmly planted in denial

Maryanne slapped Carl into oblivion that one time, remember? And I too am having difficulty with Maryanne and Sam. When he tried to pay her off, didn't she suggest it wasn't him or his money that she wanted? And yet she seems to be destroying everything in his life. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

By the way: Godrich.
The actor playing him is doing a great job, and I like that he's so small and youthful. I think it would have been interesting if they went even more boyish and scrawny. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

I also like the innocent lamb that Godric is,cause you know hes not. Ball is playing that very well. He's doing the same with jason, but hes taking it a step further with Godric. The Maryann story line is starting to wear for me, if its a child or something that's she after it should have already taken place, they seem to be drawing it out for some reason. N I love the once over godrich gave jason, someone else like that tight lil bod. The Most Important Thing In Life Is Sincerity....Once You Can Fake That, You Can Fake Anything.

I wonder why some episodes are so much better than others, are they switching script writers episode to episode? Or directors? I've never looked at the credits. My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid

I love the show but, I'll say it again, there are so many cool scenes going on in the book. I'm reading almost the same exact speed as the series it's just different.
Is it just me or were some of the scenes on this week's episode awkward? I didn't like how the Mexican vampire kind of lost her shit when Godric pardoned Hugo. I think she should've just showed a hint of emotion. But that's just me. ***book spoiler***** I would've love to have seen Sookie's escape with the shapshifter at the church. The shapeshifter takes her to a hospital 'cause in the book she is all messed up, broker bones and all. AND I would've love to meet the werewolves that help her out. [Edited 8/11/09 10:13am] MyeternalgrattitudetoPhil&Val.Herman said "We want sweaty truckers at the truck stop! I thought he was over a district or area not just the city. Does each state have its own king/queen?
