Kids are hard work and not for everyone!

Especially the ignorant! disbelief
In fact if stupid people would stop breeding like wildfire I probably would have been more inclined to want kids. But, I just hate this world too much wacky

I think people generally [at least in the West] are having children later than before.

Wish you all the best with your plan. You may have to make a compromise here and there, but I'm sue it will happen if you focus on this goal hard enough. wink

I ask singles because married/partnered folks appear halfway there. But for the folks who are single: Does your perspective on kids change with time?

I'm starting to really dislike the sound of crying/whining/tantrum-throwing children. Wasn't as bad when I was younger and would occasionally have to babysit a niece or nephew. But, these days, shake I can't stand the racket. And, the seasonal, recurring expensiveness of kids is starting to sink in: They're always growing and needing new clothes!!! omfg That alone is likely to cut into the guitar budget. hmmm

I hear it's different when the crying child is yours, but I'm not so sure...

When our children were young and in the crying fussing whining phase, I was not bothered by it to much because I was in the process of and busy with dealing/teaching/learning as a parent ~ IN the moment(s)

it did bother me some though
and I just do not have the desire now to "deal" with crying fussing whinning kids - I love my grands but when they go there - it's THEIR parents turn to "deal"

lol
