I just heard at the top of the hour of national news. He was out walking when the heart attack happened. sad Love his movies especially Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Breakfast Club, and Pretty In Pink.

Everyone's responses are summing up my feelings about this. I was born in '79, so I was really young when most of his best movies came out. Regardless, I was able to get into them in my teen years because the teen movies of the 1990s were not nearly the same caliber as the Hughes movies of the 80s.

Thanks for the great entertainment John Hughes.

Too right! The script for this movie was so good and really made me think. I was so young when this came out and it taught me a lot about how children and parents relate to each other sad

We had a festival opening a few years back here and Molly came as a special guest because of an anniversary of the film. Everybody was just the right age to give her the biggest applause when she came up.

Thank you Mr Hughes.
