These sand transformations are incredible. I have seen so many different scenes over the years and the stories within the transformations all seem so unique.
Each and every time I see one, I am fixated on what will come next... the precise design and quickness always blows me away.

The message is universal. The sad thing is American television would never allow it because the message is political.. yes they would. "not a fan" yeah...ok

I must be heartless cos I didnt cry.
It was however amazing to watch she really does have talent. And she was incredibly hot. Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

That was incredible! It's a great display of a more obscure talent which people have for performance art.

Yes it is. coolcat said: I didn't understand it very well. can someone break down what is happening.
I believe she was depicting a happy young couple who met in a park, and they presumably fell in love with each other just before World War II. Then she depicted horrific war scenes, and somewhere in the middle we see a baby in a crib, which I took to mean that she had a child with this lover. After a couple more war scenes including the Soviet monument, they show the lovers looking through the window at each other along with the child and she writes the year 1945 plus some other thing which I could not read since I don't know Russian. I guess this has extraordinary significance to the Ukrainian people.

Some of you prove that Westerners have way too much privilages and don't know much about history. The Sand painting was about love winning over the repression from the Soviet System. It makes you think of other countries that have repression like in Iran, Africa, China, Columbia, the German holocaust, our own slavery, the genocide of the indians. The message is universal.
Shame on some of you. There's more to life then your next latte at Starbucks. All you others say Hell Yea!!

Shame on some of you. There's more to life then your next latte at Starbucks. Give me a break. Just because some of us are not emotional when watching something like this does not mean that we don't know much about history or have too many privileges. It just means that we are not pussies. Ok, that last line was a joke, but that Starbucks shot was insulting. I don’t go there, that shit is too expensive. I'm a Tim Horton's girl.

Amazing. There's a commercial where someone is doing this (you only see the hands): drawing things in the sand, wiping them away, changing it into something else, etc. I wonder it if's her??
