Chile, I am a scorpio. There's about much chance of us being locked in a chastity belt as there is finding penguin drinkin' mojitos in South Beach

What's with the angry face? Sounds like a good thing to me. Unless there's a whole lot baggage attached. Keep the church hens clucking in the dark. And enjoy the ride.

I put the angry face because I was mad I couldn't read the situation for myself. At this stage in life when the world moves so fast and we do so much electronic communication, it was actually hard for me to an read old fashioned, real time gesture (like sharing an ice cream) and figure out if it was a warm fuzzy or simply polite thing.

It sounds to me like you've developed a real friendship. So if there's a spark there, I'd say there's a great chance for something real and lasting.
Got my fingers crossed for you!

Yeah, I understand. With everything so direct, simple things can get blurred. But that's some serious politeness for things to go clink clink about. I guess you got to test it out and see if it goes again a couple of more times.

Hi, I really don't care if you think I'm heinous and ugly, I wanted to come over and say hi and tell you I think you are beautiful. this never landed me a date BUT I didn't wait around like the last girl waiting to be asked to the dance. OK, seriously though, as smart as you are you haven't noticed that special kind of eye contact? you can't get a read on this guy at all? The fact that he wanted secluded time, and not sharing it with the church hens, says a lot I think. ! If you had any idea of how much I want to do that but I can't

Well there's no spark in that way (at least not yet). We're only at the point of communicating by eye contact in group situations to say stuff silently to each other. But it's not romantic. So far we have the eye moves which pretty much translate to: "Did you see that mess?" "You've gotta be kidding me." " I am so over this" " Shall we leave?" "Let's call later"--- complete with hand movements. How in the hell am I nearly 40 and don't know how to decipher a platonic connection from anything else?
