"Just" in? C'mon now! The man started one game in college... as a running back! lol

He had a great season last year throwing to Randy Moss and Wes Welker, but I think most people realize he still has a lot to prove (think Scott Mitchell).

He's finding out that he's not going to get nearly the time to scan the field for multiple options like he did in N.E.....and your Scott Mitchell comparison is dead on! Lot of cash for minimal gain...

Well, I'm not as down on him as you seem to be. lol I was merely saying that the NFL usually pays players for potential (like Scott Mitchell and 1st-round draft picks) over proven results. He could turn out to be very good, but he has a lot to prove at this point.

Oh I don't doubt that he may end up being very successful....my point is that KC didn't bring him out there for all that money based on future potential...they wanted the dude who stepped in so seamlessly for Brady....

Trust me, as a Saints fan, I've seen lots of good money go up in smoke on 1st round busts (Reggie Bush is not among that number...yet!) and even worse free agent signings.... lol

That's what I'm saying. They didn't bring in a guy who has proven he can play well week in and week out, they brought in a guy who seems to have the potential to do it based on a relatively small number of games.

I don't think he's going to make a whole lot of difference, IMHO....but if Minny does really well, he's going to be annointed the savior....hell, they've already got the Vikes tracking to the SuperBowl just because HE signed on....

**and from now on, Favre will be referred to by me as HE...**

The Jets are looking like the bottom of the division . . . But the Jets are gonna run as much as teams allow. Like my RAIDERS, their QB play scares no one.

Top ranked offense apparently balanced and bolstered by decent running game...CHECK!!

#1 receiver and tight end healthy...and complimentary receivers making mad plays...CHECK!!

Off season acquisitions on defense making immediate impact...new D coordinator firing up the new DOME PATROL...CHECK!!

Y'all go ahead and keep sleepin' on my Saints...we are about to lay waste to the NFL!!

or the jets could be really bad--no real receiver #1 receiver. expect teams to put 8 in the box and stuff the run.

Seattle set to sign veteran RB Edgerrin James.

James reportedly agreed to a one-year, $2 million deal to play for the Seahawks.

Former All-Pro running back could practice as soon as Tuesday.

It wouldn't have anything to do with Sanchez being a rookie
would it. lol

As far as Mr Wrangler jeans, maybe it had to do with Thomas Jones running
the football and the jets playing solid defense. You can't b.s the people.
We saw old man Favre struggle down the stretch. I see a repeat happening
with the Vikes if he even makes it through the first six games.

I'm just trippin off of the Vikes players coming out and saying brettfavrebrettfavrebrettfavre is splitting the locker room while they're still in preseason.....unlike the Jets, who waited until he cost them a shot at the playoffs....

I just don't get why Brad Childress was so adamant about bringing
Favre in. He already had two qb's with more upside albeit limited. What
the hell can Favre bring to the team now? It's not 1997 anymore. mad
If this backfires, Childress head should be on the chopping block.

did u see him against the jags last week?...he better do better tonight against Miami..but he'll be the starter eventually. It's going to be a long year for my Bucs "ho-hum".But I'm watching this eagles-jags game and they have vick in so many formations, jags defense not even rushing, they dont know how to approach him. This offense could be deadly if it works out
