Ex-Moderator | Friends used to tease me a bit here and there, but I found out about the org through offline friends, so I've always known folks who org and who I hang out with. And then some my friends in Mpls who never went on the org would go to org invasion events I've hosted. And org friends have become offline friends as well. So it all gets kinda messy.
So basically, no. No one teases me about the org. |

So basically, no. No one teases me about the org. I remember when Denny said...(Denny's that hot piece of tail who lives above you and is one of your best friends by the way)... that he was amazed by the diversity and 'decent kindness' of orgers that he's met. My friends would read this shit and just call you guys a bunch of fucktards. All except maybe Blake.

At times she used to *HATE* the time I spent here. Now she's virtually an orger herself and reads a lot of what I write and respond to here.
With non-org friends... so many failed attempts at explaining what it's about and why I come here. Embarrassing, every single time.

IRL friends actually will talk about you behind your back if you talk about the org too much. It's like a gaggle of friends discussing who should tell you to seek therapy. I'm not even going to go into how I know this.

NO comprehension whatsoever, I betcha second life and adult friend finder pop into their heads when I tell them. This place is WAY more freaky than either of those anyway. That's the problem too. Nobody 'gets' the org, so why bother explaining it, no? I mean, you can get friendship, guidance, drama, ass...whatever.. on the org. But some people view it as an escape from reality. To me it's just a part of my reality. I believe the mixing of my IRL friends and my facebook friends from the org might help me bridge that gap. But yeah--folks don't get it. Some of my life-long friends are on the org. Phil, Val, Karen, Nick, Carrie--too many to mention...all enrich my life in little and big ways. My next org-related trip will certain involve friendship, guidance, drama and of course, ass. How much more could one ask for?

I'm not even going to go into how I know this. By that I meant IRL friends not living in Thailand though, and seeing as I don't see them that often I thankfully don't get the chance to go on about the org too much. I think they see some of the org related stuff over on Facebook but I don't try to let them in on what it's about anymore. In Thailand friends just probably consider my orging and facebooking as being the same kind of thing. I also go to a Thai chat site. Thai people get the online interaction thing turning into IRL friendship or relationships as they're often very into it (tagged, myspace, facebook, friendster, hi5, pantip, sanook, yahoo and msn messenger etc.). I'm happy with them seeing my stuff on Facebook sometimes, but probably wouldn't be cool with them seeing what I do on the org. . [Edited 8/5/09 17:22pm]
