SCNDLS: What does an "Instructional Designer" do?
I wanna work at home! fit (but the kids can't come! pout)

Design and develop training programs and documentation for various corporate clients using adult learning theories. Many teachers transition into this kind of work, especially doing the actual training delivery, which I don't do. I design it, somebody else teaches it, if it's not delivered virtually.

Well, i have always loved anything medical. I was going to be a nurse but then kids came along and I wanted to be a stay at home mom for them which i was thankfully lucky to be able to do! Now they are gone off on their own sad
The ad came out in the sunday paper and i knew I HAD to have it! My dad is on dialysis so its familiar territory to me as well.. My brother actually does the same job, i think he is one or two certifications higher tho...

Part-time Crisis line worker answering calls regarding domestic violence including providing resources for example: shelter and legal aid as well as peer counseling. At the end of the month I will be returning to school to finish final year of graduate school in Counseling Psychology, and starting a new internship at an organization that provides counseling services for mental health needs as well as substance abuse.

Hang in there with the job hunt. It is not easy or quick. I've been frustrated as well and had to stop. I've been fortunate that this position became available at my last internship.

Admin. Director at a non-profit in Manhattan. A year ago I resigned from what should have been a close to dream job (at a museum) b/c the stress caused by my supervisors was making me physically ill. This job is just something to pay the bills until the economy gets better; then I'll start looking for something else in a museum. I'm also sort of considering law school, but don't know if it's a good decision. boxed
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

Really? I have often thought that working with animals would be fun. More fun than what I have been doing for the past 20+ years (and am TOTALLY bored with right now).
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

You're not the first person who has told me that. smile I know that people can be demanding, and when it comes to their beloved pet, I can imagine that they can become even more demanding. Some folks think of their pet(s) as their kid/children, and they want their pet(s) to be treated as such.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.
