Stretch marks / muscle loss Okay so I've been worked out religiously for two yrs, and hard and gained pure muscle via protein and really built up thighs arms chest.
So in the last 3 months my living / financial conditions changed n I stopped workng out and stopped w the protein supps. So my question is, lately (just in the last week) I noticed stretch marks on my upper outer thighs that weren't there b4. I don't believe I've really list all that much weight but have DEF lost muscle. Is this what the marks ate from? And if so, if I start really intense training now will they go away or get worse? Also I'm having surgery next month n won't be able to train at all for 2 wks n then no upper body for a whole 6 wks. So if I do get them to go away will they just return or get even worse while I'm outta comission? I've reached in darkness and come out with treasure
I layed down with love and I woke up with lies Whats it all worth only the heart can measure It's not whats in the mirror but what's left inside

They arent a disease..They come from over streching your skin in a fast period. Lots of weight lifters have them. Pregnant woman get them on their tummies and breasts, butt or thighs... They will never go away, there are no creams or lotions to make them disappear... Think of them like a scar.. you can get laser resufacing which may make them less visable but nothing gets rid of them...Tanning helps camoflauge them a bit... ~~~~~ Oh that voice...incredible....there should be a musical instrument called George Michael... ~~~~~

I forgot to say you didnt notice them b4 because your skin was tight and full because of the large muscles you built... Once the muscle was lost from not working it there wasnt that fullness anymore so you are now able to see the strech marks.. Build your muscle back up and you wont see them again! They are still there but smoothed out from the fullness of your muscle.. ~~~~~ Oh that voice...incredible....there should be a musical instrument called George Michael... ~~~~~

Thank u I was like huhhhh???? I am fat as hell, and my skin looks like butter now since I use a natural oil blended with shea butter. I am dark olive skinned and stretch marks on people with my coloring tend to be dark and raised. My marks are light and nearly undetectable. Use those exfoliating mitts when you shower and coat the skin with oil in the shower. In time the skin will regain some elasticity. Extreme dry skin is more prone to stretch marks. This is why most pregnant women slather their fast growing bellies with cocoabutter rich creams. If your skin tends to be dry, drink more water, and get to a good skin conditioner. Bio oil has kept me stretch mark free during pregnancy.
I wish I had some of it to use back when I was a teen going through the growth spurts.

I put it on my old ones that I got as a teen but it does not seem to be doing much to them.Though in it's defense, they have been there a LONG time now. I tried it on my acne scars, did not do much for them either.

I wish I had some of it to use back when I was a teen going through the growth spurts. Stretch marks usually show up after the pregnancy. So cheer up, you may have a bunch waiting for you yet!

Oh well, I already have them, what is a few more? The books say you should notice them by month 6 but what do the books know? Usually not much.

I tell The Wife that all her pregnancy after-effects should be worn with pride. They're not that bad, and worth it for what you get.
Even when your youngest tells you your tummy looks like an old man.

Even when your youngest tells you your tummy looks like an old man. Except maybe the peeing-slightly-when-you-laugh. Try and hold that in.....
