i called the dept of agriculture back to make sure they were doing something about the phone call to them this morning. the woman that answered said she wasnt sure how much she could talk to me about so she sent me to her supervisor. he informed me that he was actually at that property on friday (the ad that i read was posted on saturday). the man had entered into an agreement stating that he would get rid of the dogs by october 1 (which seems a bit far off to me), that he would sell down to just 3 females left and maintain that amount from now on, that the agriculture people can stop by to investigate at any point in time from here out and that any dogs that were not sold would be handed over to the authorities on october 1. this is why it claims this is a complete sell out of the kennel - however the reason is not because she and her husband have decided to do shit, its because they were directed to do so by the state. oh, i forgot to say - things picked up quickly when i checked and found out that they had no license...suddenly everyone wanted to talk to me at once!! as i said, once i reached the right people, i found out that they had already worked on this just a few days prior. thank god there ARE people out there watching out for the lil babies... i had a great conversation with SCNDLS, she was very helpful on many different things... the pups will never know what we do to protect them and look out for them, but in the end WE know that we didnt just turn our backs on them and thats what matters - perhaps now they can be adopted to good homes and taken care of... or one can hope. thanks guys again for your sound listening ear - as a team, the org is something else!!!! I personally feel that anyone that decides they want to breed dogs should have to volunteer at an animal shelter or breed rescue before they have permission to breed.

Awesome! I'm so glad you looked into this. Poor pups
I wish there would be a no breeding law for like 5 years...give just enough time for a good chunk of all the pups out there in the mills. Something needs to be done, this breaks my heart. Thank god there are people like you and SCDLS out there who are helping out. I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for ads like this so I can partake as well. Animals are so helpless...it's not fair!
