True Blood 2.7 "Release Me" *Spoilers* SORRY! Just realized I had the episode numbered incorrectly. Good show. Still on the slow side, but picking up speed. I love how Maryanne is starting to unravel. Her insanity is getting harder and harder to conceal. Jason I love the backstory on Bill and Lorena, but would love to see less of it in exchange for some more action. Lafayette...Good grief that hookah is beautiful! And Eric. Poor Daphne :gutted: [Edited 8/4/09 9:18am] I'm firmly planted in denial

I'm glad Daphne bit it! I'm wondering what's going to happen to Sam and Jason - they're both being hunted! Also, it's not looking too good for Eric - he was chained up in the church during the previews for next week!

Too bad about Daphne that bitch's body was BANGIN'!!!
I knew Hugo was in on that shit and his bitchassness was really annoying: "Boo-hoo she won't change me, waaaa waaaaa waaaaa!" Kill him already. Who grabbed the bellboy??? Hoyt and Jessica are too cute. Sookie's dumb ass strikes AGAIN.

Best line in the whole episode was when Hoyt said "I never done it...with a girl." and Jessica was like :pause: "What have you done it with?" That era (backstory) really suits Lorena. That green dress!

We saw penis in this episode Good for Sam, he's found his alt. shapeshift thingy I don't think I can love Maryanne anymore if she's workin' for the devil Lafayette seems to have got his hustle back "show me how you scream for that big fat vampire cock" 12/05/2011 P*$$y so bad, if u throw it into da air, it would turn into sunshine!!!

Mary Anne-Someone needs to get rid of her, but apparently she's immortal LaFayatte-As soon as he saw Eggs he was ready to play him, but Tara said , " No you don't Bitch! " Jessica-I think she's gonna come to a tragic end for some reason. She's still a little immature and hasn't let go of her Human side. Andy-Poor Andy. He knows what's going on with the Townsfolk and MaryAnne, but the Sheriff continues not to believe him. I wonder why MaryAnne hasn't done harm to him yet. Looks like the Vampire/Human showdown may start on the next episode [Edited 8/3/09 8:32am]

Enjoyed the episode but was rather disappointed with hugo being the turncoat. I think its rather lame writing when you introduce a character in one episode n then make him the baddie in the next. Can Sam only change when he's naked? cause I'm cool with that.

- I loved Lafayette this week! - Sookie annoys me. Always has. I agree with SCNDLS: - Jason was pretty funny with his reaction to (can't think of her name)'s sudden declarations of love. He was like, - I thought the scenes with Bill and Lorena got long. We get it: He doesn't want her! - I think Tara's going to gain complete "clarity" next week. - Oh, and, I think Eric grabbed Barry the Bellhop when he heard about Sookie. Did anyone check out those man-sized feet of Maryanne's?! "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

I loved this episode! The show is picking up speed and I'm hooked.
I really enjoy the Bill/Lorena flashbacks. That era is so much fun and gives them so much to play around with, and she looks like she was born to live in it (don't so much like her modern-day, poor-man's-Jeanne Tripplehorn looks). She's a fun badass, and I'm enjoying that. I don't understand why Jessica and Bill aren't in contact at all. Aren't they in adjoining rooms? And would she be powerless against her maker's maker anyway? (Jessica would probably be pretty useless no matter what, but I'm still interested in the answer just because.) My favorite line of the show was Jessica's: "Just don't freak out if I look a little...dead." And Hoyt is sweet. And hot. And possibly bi-curious? Or did I misunderstand that? I also loved seeing Maryann run while chasing Sam. Being immortal and nearly all-powerful certainly does not make her swift. Or graceful. I wonder who Maryann's foot double was? Cuz those are some big-man feet and calves. Best episode of the season so far, imo.

The only guess I'd venture on that is #1 It doesn't serve Alan Ball's purpose to get her involved at this time...He's making her only focused on her own storyline which #2 makes a little sense as when a vampire is a new, they are made out to be not the best vampires...a little slow on the uptake vampire-wise, so maybe she just doesn't hear what's going on. I LOL @ that Jessica line! It was great! Hoyt is totally a cutie pie! I'm firmly planted in denial

I'm half way through the second book and it's sooooo not anything like the show. They both have their good points. Some of the scenes in the book are much richer.
Love love love Jessica and Hoyt.Adoreable! Good lawd! Them eyebrows on Lorena..... I went Eric and what's his name to kiss when they see each other again. Did you all see that tear running down Eric's face? I'M SOOOOO GLAD THEY CRY BLOOD! Everyone else has it wrong. MyeternalgrattitudetoPhil&Val.Herman said "We want sweaty truckers at the truck stop! This episode was great!
Like Chocolate1 said, I think that Tara's going to piece everything together very, very soon. I hate to think what'll happen when she finds out that "Eggs" is killer. Maryanne gets scarier with each passing episode. Those were definitely "man-feet" in that entry scene. Why, indeed, is Bill completely ignoring Jessica all this time? Isn't this when she's most vulnerable? If she accidentally kills Hoyt (in the throws of passion) she will completely come undone. ...and where exactly did Gothrige (Goethrigg? Gothriegg?) come from at the end? Why didn't he show up sooner? Was he a willing captive? Could it possibly be HIS idea to start this war? Sunday can't get here soon enough. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

Sunday can't get here soon enough. *In the book* Godric (also known as Godfrey) is an ancient vampire, so ancient that his origins are unknown. Throughout the millenium he was a monster, raping and feeding off young children. He despised himself and went to the FOS willingly to participate in a "Meet the Sun" ceremony, which is the vampire form of suicide. *ITB* Godric is not king or sheriff or anything of Texas. Stan (he dresses like a geek) is the sheriff of the area that includes Dallas, Ferrel (he dresses like a cowboy) is one of Stan's nestmates. Ferrel is the one that is kidnapped and it turns out he was kidnapped by Godric. ![]() I'm firmly planted in denial

Apropos of nothing--but thought I might as well add it here and now--Alan Ball told a panel at Comic-Con that Season 3 would have more book-related content brought in, including werewolves, werepanthers, and werelynxes, and that there would be a group of vampires from Mississippi showing up.

Looks like Alcide will make it into the show after all!!! I really hope he brings in more of the book stuff! So far he's not touched on some of my FAVORITE scenes from book two. AB gave Maryanne so much more storyline than in the book (in the books she's not even named) and in the end, when the manaed's madness consumes a group of orgy-ists, there's a scene between Sookie and Eric that is True Blood, this season, is almost a blend of books 2 & 3. I'm interested to see how AB ties it all together. I'm firmly planted in denial
