Although I am not a religious man, I believe strongly in a higher power, heaven, hell and the spiritual world. I have also been fascinated in and believed in ghosts since I was a child. I have seen apparitions (Ghosts) and orbs several times since my mother has died, including a photo her face in my garden along with several other hazy apparitions and orbs. I have also been more aware of ghosts and spirits since she has passed, I frequently feel presences in places I visit and have picked up orbs and spirits in photos. I prefer to call them spirits as apparitions and orbs are manifestations of energy left by deceased peoples souls. I don't seen them as evil spirits and skulls in hoods etc going woo! Most self respecting spirits would never appear in skeletal form but as they did in life as much as possible. 99% are friendly and only 1% would be considered evil.
The question being, have your ever seen a spirit or an apparition and if so any details, it would be fascinating to share these experiences.
Please if you don't believe in spirits or want to go and hate on this topic do not post here. I respect your right to an opinion, but I prefer not to post a negative or hateful response here.

Yes, My daughter and I were walking on a rainy evening and saw a man appear about six houses down the street. He was walking in the opposite direction to us and was wearing a long raincoat, a fedora, and galoshes. He walked by us and we both turned to watch him walk down the street. He went about three houses and disappeared. A couple weeks later one of our friends saw the same thing.

The last time my Mom was in the hospital, we all could hear crying babies. We later found out that that was the floor that used to have a nursery where the waiting room is now located. No babies allowed on that floor now.

I have seen things which I can’t explain, if they be paranormal or not. When I was 4 years old, i woke up screaming and crying at 12:00am (so my mama says) the next day we found out my grandfather had passed away at 12:00am.

Another time my brother locked me in the hallway (he had this thing of locking me in things lol) I was about 5. I was banging on the door to get back in but then a boy came down the staircase and told me to "keep the noise down" then went back upstairs, the house was searched but no-one was there but me , mama and my bro.

And recently before I was about to leave the house I was putting on my shoes and look towards the stair’s and saw someone pop there head round to look at me. Knowing no-one was in the house with me. I nervously went to look but no-one was there so I quickly grabbed my bag and got out the house lol

Either it’s a ghost or I’m losing it lol

These are great guys, sounds like there were real experiences there.

I'm sooooo very fascinated by this subject. Not many things have happened to me but have happened to my family. I could write volumes about all the paranormal things that have happened to my family.

Two strange things have happened to me.

1) I was doing my wash. I bee-lined it to the backyard through the house. On the way back when I was going through the dining room there was a chair in my way. I didn't think about it at first but it freaked me out. I live alone and the chair was not in my way when I first passed through.

2) Same house.(I've been here for well over 30 years.) When I was a kid my two cousins were in the back room and they started screaming. My dad and I went to see what was up. The doors to the basement were slamming up and then baack down violently. We thought that it was an animal that got trapped in the basement. My dad went downstairs to check and there was nothing there.

3) I used to always sleep over my cousin's house. Actually, I could never sleep there because I was deathly afraid. All my cousin's, aunt, uncle and my mom and dad had experiences there. One night my cousin and I are asleep downstairs in the living room and I woke up just in time to hear one of the cushions from the couch fill up with air, as if someone had just gotten up. That truely freaked me out.

Weird, I've been lookin at Ghost footage on Youtube for awhile now. I personally never had a ghost sighting, but I think I received an E.V.P., Electronic voice phenomenon. Awhile back, I received a strange voicemail. It was only like 3 or 4 syllables, definitely male. It was totally garbled and undecipherable, so I thought "What the hell?", and kept listening to it on repeat. Frustrated, I finally deleted it . Only when I watched a TV program about EVPs weeks later did I put two and two and realized what it was .

EVP Exists, if you get it, it must be very special as the spirit is expounding a lot of energy if it is trying to speak to you. A lot of paranormal phenomena is usually one off (Unless its a major haunting) usually as the spirit is trying to pass on to you a message. My mother regular does little things to let me know stuff.

I have never seen only heard. My current home is "haunted",but "we" have seemed to learn to live together. It did get to the point of me being so scared that when my Mom use to live here,(cause I have been living in this house since I was in high school) she had Mediums or something like Mediums come into the house,and they said that my house is like a pass through,as in they pass through on there way to wherever they are going.

When my Mom was a young girl,(she lived in this house when she was 6-when she left) she said that she went downstairs one night cause she was feeling creepy,and was going to go get her Mom,but when she got downstairs she said there was a young girl sitting in a wheelchair in front of the door to her parents room. later we found out that the house use to belong to a doctor,who had a disabled daughter.

A couple of friends and her also tried a Quiji board here in the basement once,and after that she refused to let anyone that lived here do anything like that. She was never really clear on what actually happened,but it must have been pretty major for her to be so insistent.

In our first home. Our living room was upstairs. You could look straight down the stairs and see the door that came in from the side yard. My mother and I both clearly heard (and felt) the screendoor down there open and shut. I looked down the stairs and saw a man (older, heavy-set) (solid/non "ghost"-like) walk in and around the hall to the back bedroom.
Clear as day. Middle of the day.

The odd thing was that I was completely at ease. There was no sense of OMG, someone's in the house panic. I went down and no one was there. There was no other way out of the house.

I described the man to Ron when he got home, he had seen pictures of the previous owner (we purchased the home as an estate sale) and my description seemed to match.

Oh!,and when my Mom,and her parents first moved into this house,there were dead chickens all over.

Years ago my boyfriends dog had to be put down.
A couple of weeks later his sister said she heard the sound of the dog walking throught the kitchen. None of us were sure if she was really telling the truth. A couple of nights after she said this I stayed over and was in bed - awake and my boyf was downstairs... I felt a dog jump on to the bottom of the bed and turn around before laying down on the bottom of my legs.

My sister is heavily into paranormal stuff. She is always doing Ouija boards and stuff and I love hearing about experiences she has had. She has invited me to try it in the past but i'm too scared!

Very interesting, I try to avoid ouija boards though, as they are troublesome and I would leave them for real psychics. My favourite method is a pendulum that belonged to my mother, it works very well, and I ask her questions (When I need serious guidance) not all the time its not a toy. Its explained alot, although when I had the photo I took it to two psychics and both managed to channel Mum quite well, without any prior knowledge.
