Boxing involves two guys engaging in grueling physical activity for the entire match, whereas football involves walking, huddling and setting up in formation... with sporadic running.

I just see the players huffing and puffing, some exhausted to the point of throwing up - rare but I have seen it...so I don't understand your thinking there isn't a lot of actual physical activity...

I thought football was a game of two 45 minute halves of 100% commitment, passion, energy and skill. Broken up with a 15 minute interval which has nothing to do with advertisemnts or corporate hospitality, but more for the "ordinary" fan to get themselves a hot pie and bovril.

When played in the height of the afternoon sun in temperatures of over 100 degrees as was the case during USA 94, it can make players lose weight drastically over the course of a match.

So whats all this about 3 hours etc? You wouldn't be talking about that silly Gridiron affair would you?
This "sport" deserves its place next to pool,darts, fencing and gymnastics - as the worlds most foolish games.
