Okay, so it's not "new" since he's been rockin' the new look for quite a few years now. But it IS an improvement a VAST one I wonder if the anti-Susan Boyle makeover folks will think Marc was better "before" Doubtful While his transformation is definitely more physical, the bottom line is the same - you make more of an effort, it usually pays off. He's simply trying harder, nothing wrong w/ that

Okay,he began his career as the designer who took over the Perry Ellis and Perry Ellis America lines after his death.

He then moved on to have his own line (I think at the same time he was doing Perry Ellis but my memory is foggy).

The fashion world being as fickle as it is, he fell out of favor for a minute after Perry Ellis, then later his Marc Jacobs line went kaput (kinda similar to what happened to Issac Mizrahi before he disappeared, then started doing the Target thing and rebuilt his name brand). Marc's stuff back in the day was kinda hard to figure out with too many weird patterns and colors. I suspect it didn't translate well into the American designer sportswear demgraphic that made him famous with Perry Ellis.

He sort of disappeared for a minute then resurfaced with his line again, Marc Jacobs, then a secondary line, MARC, and became the darling of 7th Avenue again. Once he was the little prince again, Louis Vuitton came-a-knocking, and there it is. He's sorta like our American version of Karl Lagerfeld, designing a gazillion limes simultaneously from different fashion capitals. In the last coupla years he's been acting kinda kooky, though, gaining a milion pounds,then losing them, and the usual drug-addled nervous breakdowns that happen in the fashion industry. He looks like he's in a healthy place now. Lord knows he didn't have abs like that 20 years ago

i thought his first "before" picture was better looking until i saw the last of the "after" pictures. i don't mind the geeky hippie look on him, even though those glasses needed to GO.

But for real, my homeboy does all of Marc's photography and recently travelled all over the world shooting a coffee table book with him that should come out next year. Marc's definitely a cutey pie but that fool is CRAZAY!!! Lawd, that LV documentary was scary. I think he was using when they shot this cuz he was really strange in comparison to recent interviews.

Sans the Joyce album cover glasses, I prefer the "before" look from the neck up. His "after" look gives me Rupert Everett on lots and lots of meth.

The time spent in a gym is doing him some good, though.
