Or Miguel with an empathasis on the U. It's pronounced Migel.

Some girl back in high school use to call me Eboney.

SO i'm like my names is stephanie. I told her about 10 times until she finally said "well u look like a eboney"

I guess that's why they say to repeat their names back to them right away. It focuses your (my) mind on their names and not on your (my) insecurities, and it forces the name into your memory, for a minute at least.

But I just call everyone "Hi" and "hey"

yeah well, when I was young ...well younger .... I uh, had a bashful streak. I hated it. But humor has helped me a lot in overcoming... that and maturity. However, now and then that bashful streak does try;s to kick in.it's not too bad though.
