If you poured out your cereal and milk

... and you found ants in it after the first few spoonfuls, would you throw it away or would you finish it?

I just found some ants in my Weetabix and soy milk and I'm trying to finish it off, but it makes me queasy just knowing they're in there, even though they basically don't look so different to the Weetabix itself and even though I'm trying not to look. lol

So tell me what you'd do in this critical situation?

How would I get sick? They're only ants. I know it won't do me any harm to eat it, but still...

Too many to pick them out, I imagine, or rather it's not an easy thing to do. I think I've probably seen (and eaten) about 10 so far. I'm about halfway through.

In taking the time to start this thread my Weetabix has now completely absorbed all of the milk and the prospect of finishing off the rest of the bowl, even if ants weren't a factor (which they are, of course), is something I'm honestly not too keen on.

Now I see my problem. I open the box up and after opening the first packet of 12 'Weetabixes' when I return it to the box I put it in a little ziploc bag thing. First of all, ants apparently have no problem biting through this, and secondly, they can most certainly bite through the wrapping around the other unprotected 12 Weetabixes. I now have two 24-pack Weetabix boxes full of ants. sad

wrong emoticon edit, I am NOT happy

It isn't Alej, it really isn't, and you know what? I find it pretty tasteless that some people can find this amusing. As a victim of ants in my cereal I can tell you that my breakfasts for the next week have been irreparably damaged.

If it's any consolation, I just buttered 2 slices of multigrain bread and it feels like ants were baked into it. neutral

What to do with the 3/4 full box and full box I have!

There is actually nowhere to put them so I just have to let the ants have at it. Whenever I get a problem like this I just put stuff in the fridge but if I do that my Weetabix will be further ruined!

The whole situation is hopeless. I'm seriously considering eating something less healthy but genuinely tasty for breakfast from now on. sad

We have to put our mouth wash, cosmetics, moisturizers, body sprays etc. in the fridge here.
