I have a homegirl who is doing her 40th birthday there, so I decided to take my gay husband since his 40th is the following month. She mentioned 40/40 and some other spots. Caesar's recently opened up a new club called Dusk that looked GORGEOUS! But I hope they don't do like the clubs in LV and start playing Techno at midnight to get the black folks out at midnight

I thought about the Borgata but isn't that off the boardwalk?

Oh, and Caesar's has high end stores attached to it??? I wasn't aware

I'm from NJ. I live about 2 hours from AC.
I go there in November for the Teachers' Convention (ah, the smell of polyester in autumn ), and twice a year with my sister to do some serious shopping. I go to the boutiques and buy the shoes U can't find in malls around here.

There is a mall there that U will love. It's connected to Caesar's- mostly designer stores.
There is an outlet plaza in town. Pretty cool. I'm not a big outlet person.

I usually stay in Trump Taj Mahal when I'm there. I have stayed in Caesar's. Not bad. The Borgata is nice- more expensive. Never stayed there, tho, but heard the rooms are nice.
I saw Prince at Trump Marina in 1998. (just threw that in )

Taj Mahal has a techno club on the weekends. Kinda tacky- girls dancing in cages and stuff, a lot of bachlorette parties, but it can be fun.
I've heard the Borgata's night club is cool.
Oh. There's a 40-40 club on the street. My sister, friend and I went there one night after the Stevie Wonder concert, but they were going thru purses and making sistas leave extra shoes (not my flats! ) in a big garbage barrel. OH HELL NAW! So we got out of line....
The crowd in line seemed like a ghetto hot mess anyway!

Honestly, the town of AC is NOT that great. My sister and I walked from the outlets one evening back to our hotel. We got lost on a side street. Um, not cool.

The Borgata is the best by far for rooms, shops and restaurants.
Caesars is also great for shopping: Gucci, LV, etc.

I have not been to the 40/40 club.

U like vodka right: There is a restaurant in the Tropicana called Red Square. It's a China Grill Mgmt. restaurant:

"Famous for its sub-freezing, vodka lockers,
Red Square provides fur coats for the ladies
and authentic Russian army coats for the men while visiting their private vodka
storage. Guests can also mingle at the frozen ice bar with over 130 frozen vodkas, infusions and martinis."
And the food is good too, lol

Caesar's has good restaurants too.

The beach: meh.

You don't need to go off the boardwalk - there's enough to keep you busy. it's nothing compared to Vegas tho'.

Yeah, I checked the Borgata but my girlfriend said it would be better to stay on the Boardwalk, even tho I'ma have a car. And YESSSSS I loves me vodka.

Red Square sounds like this spot we used to have in Dallas called Nikita. The restaurant was on the street level, but it had a basement vodka lounge that felt like you needed a secret password to get into. Tres sexy.

When I went to Vegas last month, I heard about this new vodka lounge, Minus 5 (degrees) Ice Lounge, where EVERYTHING is made of ice, the bar, the seats, even the glasses are ice. Sounds hot, huh??? I gotta see that next time.

I'll be celebrating my 40th in October - I'll celebrate it again in November, lol! and you can celebrate your (not your 40th tho?) early since yours in in December!
