if any artist best represents the "do it yourself" generation, sah ril would be the one.
since age 14, matthew knew he would devote his life to the performance and production of music. it was at this age, he helped form a high school rap group and begun to experiemnt with recording vocals and music production. choosing the name S.A.H R.I.L (meaning Satire As History Reveals is Instrumental in Literature), sah would write, produce, perform, record, promote, design and distribute every one of his projects to considerable success. in the traditon of artists such as prince and stevie wonder, sah takes helm of every aspect of recording; yeilding a unique and personal sound to each indivdual composition. raised in the church, between washington d.c. and newark nj sah's music is equal parts people and prophet.

all throughout highschool and college, sah exhibited a commitment to music that surpassed nearly every other aspect of his life. after spending a few years in several colleges, sah attended new york's "Insitute of Audio Resarch" and graduated top of his class. "...i kind of understood everything already, having working in my own homebuilt studio for years...i didnt even have to study honestly.."
