He has $800 to randomly give to Tara for an exorcism in Season 1, but he doesn't expand his wardrobe. Maybe why bother since he's a shapeshifter? Her faith so far has been a running joke in the show, and it would be a really interesting vindication if she essentially had to pray or exorcise Maryann out of Tara's life. ohhh, interesting do you know what she is? In the books Maryann is a maenad, a devotee to Dionysus, the Greek god of wine and revelry. According to the mythology, through all the drunken partying, maenads could achieve a state wherein Dionysus might take possession of their bodies, and they were known to tear apart people -- particularly men and children -- in their frenzy. Alan Ball seems to have given her some new twists, like having the powers Dionysus himself might have and being a full-on shape shifter. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

I like how they have Lafayette rethinking life, but I miss the potty mouthed Lafayette though. He was so much fun. I'm still left wondering why Maryanne is using Tara though Don't quite get it. But those sex scenes with Bill and Sookie get steamier and steamier. Jason's still a whore, I'm just waiting for him to start banging the preacher's wife without remorse. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I'm really loving this season. It's coming together nicely and building up some interesing potential storylines.
And if we get some more homoerotic tension between Eric and his maker, all the better.

*In the books, book 9 I think* Eric tells the story of his being changed (not by Godric ) and that his "maker" liked men so Eric was with him. He was not keen on it, but went along with it. It's a bit ambivalent, but leans more towards him being more attracted to women than men. Throughout the books, Sookie says that because vampires live such long lives and have seen and done so many things, they really don't find much to be sexually taboo. I'm firmly planted in denial

From what point in Earth's history does Godric comes from? When he made Eric, it looked like the Middle Ages in one of those Scandanavian countries like Norway. I'm guessing Godric was originally a Mayan or Aztec. I could be totally wrong.

Don't know about True Blood, but in the books, Godric (who also goes by Godfrey) is so ancient that it is uncertain what his original time is. Eric was a Viking when he was changed. I'm firmly planted in denial

Don't know about True Blood, but in the books, Godric (who also goes by Godfrey) is so ancient that it is uncertain what his original time is. Eric was a Viking when he was changed. Also, in the books, Godric is very fair, skin and hair both very white, his skin almost transparent. I'm wondering what AB is going to do to develop Godric. In the books he's a tortured, tragic character. I'm firmly planted in denial

K I finished with season 1 bout a day ago, and thought it was okay nothing special really a whole season on "who the murder is" n turning out to be a minor character YAWN, but I did like the set up at the end to bring in mary ann.
Now as I re watch the 2nd season thus far again it seems that not only is eric interested in sookie, so is Maryann. Now have read the other thread bout the con convention i know where that triangle is going, but Im curious to know if Mary ann has a part in the showdown or if her interest is just a fake out.
