For Pippet's and ORG: these are my treasures. This is a simple post.

These are my treasures: my children.
The oldest is 18 years old> Sebastião
The newest is 13 years old> Lourenço

They are my flowers, my garden, my hope in the future roseroseroseroseroseroserose

And I am a very proud father of their children
I always wait awake his return; I am going getting older and calm in the hope of having past the values in that I believe: the human values. I want they grow in a healthier and simple, open and solidary way. And in that base, I try to educate and to create two men in complicated world ...

The Main Aims of Education

The end of education is character. Education without character is useless. Here is a definition of character by a western journalist:
• An honest person
• A person with a sense of duties and responsibilities whatever they may be.
• A person who tells the truth
• A person who offers others their due
• A person considerate of the weak
• A person who has principles and stands by them
• A person not too elated by good fortune, and not too depressed by bad
• A person who is loyal
• A person who can be trusted
Our character is reflected by our words, behaviour and conduct in daily life. It is a reflection of our true inner being, and is best awakened by example.

yes I agree, above all with the attribute of the it experiences;
but I increase some points:

> a person that knows not exist one true universal and for that is a tutor and caretaker of fields of experiences
> a person that knows how to hear, and before plus, it promotes the dialogue adapted at the levels of maturity; it cannot be opportune in that to open fields for the educational process. it can omit his truth or option if she be not adapted to the educational process and the level8 experiences )of the youths; and for that he knows how to hear and to guide, but he doesn't have to be transparent
> it cannot change the role: he is the educator; and like this being has to be firm, but at the same time tolerant. And fundamentally: coheren !

...and I can still say: fundamentally he has to love and to be opportune in his love. That is: he cannot want the children not to grow, he has to know to separate the lives, to cut the umbilical cord and no matter how hard it 's, leave that they are autonomous cool

and: friendship, care, generosity, justice, tolerance, sharing, peace, love ...

all this includes sense of humour, emotions and feelings ... but If we haven't ethical and moral values in our daily life we can not have any pleasure!

it is true for me in practice
a thing is moral and ethics; another is moralism
a thing is to be good; another is to be foolish

it 's that I teach to my children (the truth for himself); and they have an ethics, an aesthetics, but they know how to separate her, to separate and to separate the concepts: those that interest for them and the one of the other others!

I'm not talking about moralism!
I'm talking about HUMAN VALUES, about respect, citizenship in our daily life behaviour. You know, we know how important is our conduct, our example to the younger generations!and how important is the education in human values (not moralisms ...) to change this world in a better place to live!
