They stink and most definitely don't know how to shower properly. Without detailed information, let me briefly explain. I was just at the high school helping a friend manage a day camp. And the teenagers there were just filthy even the girls that walked around trying to be cute.

mad They stink!

Well I can testify. There's personal funk you can smell and fix. Then there's the kind of funk you KNOW is coming from another person. And I've been around smelly people that didn't know they were on fire. I scrub hard and stay fresh. My uppa lip don't got nada to do with some stinky dude who refuses deodorant and soap. lol

I'm tellin you, some (not all) kids lavish in that rolled out of bed notion. I went to school with a girl who didn't take very good care of herself during her um...woman's time. long story short, the girls around her talked until she got it together. So no it's not all but SOME of these kiddos just don't feel like they need to shower or scrub or roll on a stick of something. lol and I'm too nice to say "you smell". I just politely move away.

I was gallery sitting the other day and two teen girls came in. I was all happy cuz one was like "I'm an artist." and all polite and stuff.
They left a smell of unwashed summertime coochie lingering and I literally had to spray down the place. ill

I do hope they are the exception. neutral

Going to church doesn’t make you a Christian, any more than standing in a garage makes you a car.

See, I just don't get this. From the time I was 12, a daily bath or shower (including washing my hair) has been a must.

I come from clean people. nod

thumbs up!

They also have really shitty personalities and no respect for anyone or anything. They are lazy, incompetent, rude, and crude.

I come into contact with them every day during the summer season at my job. And I *was* one of those teenagers at this job at one time. But I was never like this. Never this bad.

I want to slap each and every one of them.

Same here. I was brought up to bathe daily, at least once a day. Most often I shower morning and night (especially summer).

I know some folk who don't make their kids bathe daily tho. I just think that's so wrong. Every few days is not acceptable as far as I'm concerned.

little kids don't really stink that bad - my kids have a communal bath each week and get a flannel wash on the days in between - top and tail. It's once they hit puberty daily showers are needed.

What's a flannel bath? Wash with a rag?

I do think that it's easier to get a teen to take daily showers if they've done it all their lives. lol

Um...yeah. I've done plays with large numbers of children in the cast, and many of them do stink. Their parents don't wash them (or their hair) nearly often enough. disbelief

I washed my toddler's baby booties every day...if didn't I would have worried about finding petrified hershey kisses.....and if there is a sport, the teens are bathing twice a day instead of the required once a day....

Sticky toddlers grow into greasy head tweens that grow into teens with yeast infections and the boys sporting pizza faces... both sexes smell so bad that they can't smell themselves. These types of teens can leave a room smelling like shit. Hygiene can not be mastered if it isn't practiced from day one.

That shit is biblical. lol train a child in the way they should go.... blah blah... wash they asses or they will stink like demons. Proverbs22:6 I'm paraphrasing.

Little kids are fine. Now, I'm not speaking about kids who are in situations that may forbid them from proper hygiene. I'm talking about kids who are well off and don't give a shit. I've known kids and adults who were deprived of situations.

I'm speaking of nasty ass teens that don't have an excuse for not taking a shower.

For that matter, a lot of teens these days are totally disrespectful!

"communal bath"....what exactly is that? Is that something religious?
