The head of my department died I was out sick for 2 weeks and while I was home, the head of my department passed away.
Sunday was the memorial. On my way to the memorial, I got off the train to make my connection but being that I was still getting my strength back from being sick, I did not want to walk the 4 blocks to my connection so I took a bus I've never taken before to avoid the walk. On the way I saw this statement on a wall: death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live I think this is profound. To guard and cultivate the things that live inside us, even through and despite a personal loss. Just wanted to share this. 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

Thanks 4 sharing. One of my wife's co-workers suffered the loss of her husband. He died one month before they were both to retire and move to the house in Vermont that he painstakingly built (mostly) himself for the past few years. The were working on the house one weekend, he was doing some gardening, and she went outside and found him on the ground dead of a massive heart attack. Live life to its fullest, because tomorrow isn't guaranteed. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

Live life to its fullest, because tomorrow isn't guaranteed. Not for any of us. Live every day to the max! This is actually the second death in my department in the last few years. Both instances the men lived alone and both instances were massive heart attacks where we were told they both probably were dead before they even hit the floor. Tragic. But I love that statement because you see how many people truly die inside when they lose their family and loved ones. I can absolutely understand how that can happen but it's a double tragedy to be alive yet dead inside 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740
