Anyone ever been on a cruise?

I might go aug 7th....are there any sleeping pills I can take for my plane ride....if someone is single....is there a high chance of hooking up with someone?

I always got the impression cruises were for the over 60's boxed

The cruises I've been on were family-oriented, but I hear there are singles cruises and they would certainly be a target-rich environment.

I love cruises. The most no-worry vacations I've ever taken.

And no frogs!

I went on a cruise once, and I hooked up lol There weren't many to choose from though, that's for sure. The thing I didn't like was that you had to get up early in order to spend enough time at your destination, then be back by 5 or 6 so you could sail through the night to your next destination. You don't get to experience the night life on the island (in my case) or wherever it is you are going.

There's tons of food though!

The one and only time I was on a cruise ship was in the Hellenic Republic for 9 hours. I was sea sick the entire time it's simply not for me. Being in a ship is like being in a jail, with the chance of being drowned.

Cruising is awesome! If your cruise is under 7 days, you have a good chance of meeting people. If not, it will be mostly retired couples.Worst case scenerio is that you will enjoy time with your Mother, see some new sites or Countries and be flirted with by the staff!

Have a great vacation and be sure to 'dish all' when you're back!

I heard they can be fun...but not for me. The whole idea of germs is what gets me. I have heard there are all different kinds of cruises...for singles, swingers, families, etc etc....

I'd love for someone to "drag" me along for a cruise! lol

I've only been on one, and I was about 15 years old at the time, but I remember it being a blast! There was a really broad range of ages aboard and tons of things to do at all times of the day and night

You'll have fun...and your plane will more than likely not crash (but if it does, you won't have to worry about not having anything to do)

lol I hope it's not just older people...I look pretty young...and I would feel awkward on a ship with older people...no offense to the older people on this site...

Unless you're going on a seniors cruise, you should see many different age groups. lol

That ship has sailed, literally. talk to the hand I would have gone maybe 10-15 years ago at the height of my gothdom, but now I'm too goth-lite for that cruise. I'd be asking the DJ to play The Pipettes or something else happy like that. lol

Cruises are fun, but I always thought that they were more for couples. I went with my parents 8 years ago. I would just wander off somewhere by myself. I didn't get sea sick at all. The best part is that you don't have to worry about gas or parking lol but you will most definitely get hit on by the staff, especially if you go to a night club or lounge by yourself. But WARNING: please do not go out with anyone you barely know out to the deck. You might just get kicked over, literally lol

Oh yeah and there's food for months on those things, 24/7. The cruise I went on had a midnight chocolate buffet. razz It was yummy, but I felt like I had gained 20 pounds by the time I got home!
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

When I went on the John Mayer cruise I saw some lady walking around with a plate piled high with nothing but bacon lol

I went on a family reunion cruise to the Carribean and it was pretty cool. But cruises are for either couples or a buddy trip. Plus, expect to put on some pounds with all the food readily available at all hours of the day and night.
