This video has motivated me to work out my ab machine. Not to mention I love the song. heart

Okay, that's it. The sounding bell has been-a-rung neutral . I was just looking at my growing mid-section this week like this hmmm. this video just sealed the deal. It's time to break the abs DOWN.

Notice how cute that divine lil heffa's hips look against her ab section confused It's time for me to pull out The FIRM torture dvd again disbelief

I am 50 and have 6-pack abs.

However, that has more to do with the onset of Type II diabetes than probably anything else.

You are right. Crunches and situps will help you tone the abdominal muscles and strengthen them, but in order to actually be able to see a six pack or toned belly you need to do some cardio, lose weight, burn calories, change your diet etc.

Belly dancing or any other kind of dancing is cardio training and therefore a very good way to work that fat.
A lot of people do crunches and situps and have a sixpack or good ab muscles but it´s all buried under a thick layer of fat, and it´s the fat that has to go in order to see a sexy belly.

Those ab machines and gym ball posted above are a good way to train those abs and of course it is better than doing nothing and one can surely burn some fatbut in the end, a little bit of cardio training is still necessary.

She's right - when I was taking my ass to class I was seeing nice definition in the ab area. Nothing like Sade unfortunately lol but that shit is hard b/c you're constantly engaging those muscles, your whole upper body really.

I've seen a class offered at Golds Gym nod

Check out amazon, too nod. I have the DVD for The Goddess Workout, and it's off the chain. The instructor (Lord,the chile's name is Dolphina hmm) anyhooo, she is great teacher who eases you into the movement gently, and on top of it that heffa's body is SICK. She's nothing but hips and abs...makes you almost want to smack her, but she's such a good teacher you can't help but like her smile . she not like those Sadist witches that instruct on those "Firm" workouts. The Goddess workout is one you need to do when you wake up, or when you want to decompress. You feel really calm and energized afterwards. I've passed it on to girlfriends and the consensus seems to be that this chick is the business. She gives you all the little spiritual &history tidbits in between too, so then it doesn't feel so tortuous...and well, you just keep looking at her stomach, and yeah, it's a motivator lol
