Don't run your food covered fingers through your hair!! You JUST had a bath!!!

If you rough house you will get hurt so don't try to place blame for roughhousing gone wrong!

If you leave your toys all over the floor, you will step on them and break them so don't blame your mother!

and on and on and on...

this is exactly what I was moaning about last night in my it isn't easy thread. How can I turn it around and bring some positivity back when all I'm doing is saying NO this, DON'T than sigh

Actually, something Chris just said to our 10-year-old reminded me that we do usually try to frame it as their decision. For example:

"Should you be doing that on the couch right now?"

"Stop and think. Where should you have put this?"

"Are you making good decisions right now?"

"Do you need to take a moment to think about how you're behaving right now?"

"Is this a respectful way of talking to me?"

It's just exhausting. And sometimes, at the end of the day, all I can muster is "STOP IT!" lol

All I can think of right now is your boob video post that Jers posted! Should you be trying to button that dress? Are you busting out of that dress? wink
