The episode:

* Jason is beginning to scare me. He's always been the least interesting character to me, but Ryan Kwanten is playing the hell out of that part this season.
* Bill becoming more the alpha male this season (but still a bit geeky) is HAWT! But I personally wanna see him vamp out and tear some people apart like Eric.
* Eggs.
* Sam. He's adorable, but he's slowly becoming the punk that Bill was in danger of becoming last season. They're gonna have to man him up a bit.
* Lafayette. I thought he called Tara one too many "bitches." His gruffness is generally comical -- and I think "hooker" is funny -- but it went too far last night.
* Sherriff Dearborne. Does anyone else find his southern drawl sexy?
* Jessica and Barry the Bellboy rock!

And we should get a betting pool: Who wants to put money on the fact the FOTS is gonna kill a major vamp this season? I think Jessica is most likely to die.

I'm on the third book... and losing interest. I really liked the first one. The second one was a little schizo, starting with one plot, moving to another one for most of the book, then coming back and resolving the first plot in the last 30 pages or so.

Do they get better or worse from here on?

For me, all the books have great parts.

The schizo plot is how all the books are overall. There is always more than one thing happening. It can usually be broken down into, Plot #1 Some sort of mystery. Plot #2 Some sort of Supernatural Politics happening Plot #3 Sookie's love life or lack thereof.

I don't mind lots of things going on, but when I got done with the second book, I was kind of left dissatisfied by the structure. Introduce a plot for 30 pages (Lafayette's murder), then do something else completely unrelated for 200 pages, then close it up with 30 more pages on resolving his murder.

And is it me, or does Bill just suck as a character? I find myself hoping he'll be written out of the series.... And it isn't the things he does or the way acts... I'm just not engaged by him or what he does at all.

There's a bunch of biker gang members that break into Sookie's house and lie in wait for her. The catch her off-guard, beat the crap out of her and then Bill and Eric burst in and kill the lot of them in under 3 min. It's great!

One of the things I miss in the show are flourescent eyes. Not all red and crazy-looking like in the Lost Boys, but maybe eyes that occasionally reflect light, like in Queen of the Damned. I think it'd look kinda funky every now and then.
