The Time Traveler's Wife I fell in love with this book when it first came out. It easily became one of my favorite books; I couldn't put it down while reading it. Has anyone else read it? It's part sci-fi (but that's not really the point of it at all), part epic romance (but not in that god-awful Nicholas Sparks kind of way), and part just a cool post-grad story set in Chicago. Its capturing of Chicago, and making the city come alive in the book, was just one of the reasons I loved it. A movie version is coming out. I just saw the preview the other day and it got me all excited about the book again. I'm not even sure how I feel about the trailer yet; it looks a little like the sappy marketing campaign they did for crap like Nights in Rodanthe. But hopefully they got the movie, and its distinct viewpoints and storylines, as right as a movie translation can be. Because the source material is very, very good. (Oh, and when Eric Bana time travels, he goes through naked, so that's a lovely thought--definitely ready to buy a ticket for that.) Here's the preview:

I think you'll love it. I was blown away by how the author managed to keep everything straight. The books jumps back and forth through time and the characters are constantly different ages, but it's never confusing. It's incredibly easy to go along with.

I loved the love triangle with Gomez, Clare and Henry It's good to see a scifi book hit the mainstream as well I hope the film doesn't totally screw it up screwitupedit [Edited 7/10/09 6:51am] What you don't remember never happened

I found it a bit confusing for the first couple of chapters...but then I am a bit of a der-brain!
