If you have a pool get in it. I suggest a standup air conditioner. we just went through that in this AZ heat

Good Gawd. You're either in the Sacramento area or in Gilroy somewhere. You're from around my neck of the woods right?

I live in Mesa.

Go to a bookstore, the mall...

If you choose to stay at home, chopping on ice really makes a difference.

When is it going to be fixed? This heat can get to you if you are not use to it or prepared.

I feel you. Last week, our AC was out for a few days before we could get someone to come fix it. There was a hole in some kind of coil in the unit. We never reached sweltering temps. like triple digits, but it got up in the 90's on some days.

I live here in the Phoenix area.

I went out for lunch yesterday and it dawned on me how hot it was. Why did I decide to get into my extreme hot car and go out for lunch, but it did not phase me, it is just something we do. I called my family while I was driving and my dad mentioned there was one death due to our heat yesterday.

We live in such convenience and as I was returning, I saw an older couple walking into my work place (I work in a hospital) and the elder lady looked pretty heat exhausted, I asked her is she needed some water... and she said no, once she made her way in she would be fine.

I then began thinking... what if this entire cities power went out... (I think the worst a lot) and places were forced to function off generators, what would happen to the many who would be without?

I then had a vision of people swarming to the rivers, lakes and occupying every pool in this city... we live in a city of pools. It was a bizarre vision. lol

Anyways, some people are more use to the heat here than others, but we live in a comfortable state of A/C. I often think of the many who are not as fortunate... there are many here.

My family still lives with the swamp cooler, we grew up with this kind of cooling... people find ways to survive, it's crazy to think about and see.

That's what I was going to suggest, but figures that someone that was recently in Hell would know what to do.
