MAC used to have a bigger selection of mattes but they've scaled back over the years - they still have a few, but not many in the red family. Pop into Nordstrom/Macy's & just try stuff out. Sephora too - can't speak for their brand but they carry Nars & a bunch of others.

it was a perfect shade for me too.

If you still have the tube, there's a company called 3 Custom Color http://www.threecustom.com/home.php & they can duplicate it. Kinda expensive - you get 2 or 3 tubes for $50. BUT if the color is so perfect, it's worth it. I got them to do a color MAC discontinued years ago & it's awesome bananadance

I hardly ever wear red lipstick. I may wear brownish red and lately I love an orange/red tnome that matches my hair perfectly.

Yeah, I do. I'll have to give it a try, $50 bucks though, if it's pretty good and doesn't dry out the lips or fades fast I guess it would be worth it.
