Everyone's. ...Just an observation.

Scrolling through the thread, that's the first thing I noticed.

Three of my top five are subtitled--definitely NOT American films.

This is not meant as an attack, it's JUST an observation. eek

You are certainly @ the high end of choosing non-American films. But even still, it's only 3/10.

Thanks for the reminder. I forgot some of my favorite "foreign" films:

Kieślowski's "colors" trilogy "Blue/White/Red"
Amores Perros
The Red Balloon
Tell No One
I've Loved You So Long
Ridicule
Last Year at Marienbad

I didn't interpret your post as an attack. I just wanted to correct your statement that said "everyone". And I only posted my best five films. #6-10 are:

Sex And Lucia (2001)
Pan's Labyrinth (2006)
The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
House Of Flying Daggers (2004)
Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! (1965)

So really six of my top 10 films are foreign.

Predictably, anything with Prince in it:)..

And Oldboy by South Korean director Park Chan-Wook. I'm not into violence usually, but this is a masterpiece.
