And I hate to admit it, but... and (Not for the sex, actually. The overall art direction and '70s softcore porn/ funk soundtrack just make it a really fun retelling.) [Edited 7/6/09 16:07pm] Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

Sorry I missed this thread the first time around when I was away on vacation. I'm always up for talking about movies.
Anyway, my best movies are very different from the ones I've seen the most that I can almost quote. Best five: Elizabeth (1998) Queen Margot (1994) Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (2000) Brotherhood Of The Wolf (2001) Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992) (I love period pieces.) Top five films I've seen the MOST: Purple Rain (1984) - Seen it over 30x Under The Cherry Moon (1986) - At least 13x Grease (1978) - Around 9x Eyes Wide Shut (1999) - Watch this one every Christmas The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993) - Watch it every holiday season also

I don't get attached to movies like that
I'm not really a repeat watcher, apart from maybe Fifth Element, Purple Rain and Wall-E but they aren't the best things I've ever seen, rather they give me some amount of pleasure that is repeatable even on subsequent viewings.

Those top three movies I've seen the most were all before the age of 20. Now that I'm older I don't watch movies repeatedly that much either.

I watch more movies repeatedly than I did as a child. I'd rather read. Still do but I love movies. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

Eyes Wide Shut, Batman Returns, Morvern Callar, Nadja and The Nightmare Before Christmas get seen every Christmas season. movie edit [Edited 8/5/09 9:12am]

It Happened One Night (Clark Gable:faint:) Devil In A Blue Dress (began my luv for Don Cheadle as the trigger-happy Mouse) Dirty Dancing The Sound of Music Grease Out of Sight The Incredibles Love At First Bite (comedy cheese greatness) Oceans 11 D.O.A. (only watched once great film noir) Batman (luv Michael Keaton and "Batdance" by lil purple dood) Something's Gotta Give Sabrina (original with Humphery Bogart and Audrey Hepburn) Independence Day (a must-watch around the 4th of July) "Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!
