King Tut and the Golden age of the Pharaohs Exhibit

http://www.kingtut.org/home

I just got back from being gone all day. I went to San Francisco to see the King Tut exhibit, and it was SO cool! If you get a chance I would highly recommemded it! I was a little disappointed that they did'nt have an actually mummy there to see in person, but they did have the coffin of Tjuya. It was amazing! They also had one of the coffinette's that held his liver. eek

I came home with the Exhibit Catalog..

and a couple of these perfume bottle, just because I think they look neat.

If your into Egypt, and mummy's you should really check this out! nod

I tried to see it here in los angeles but the line was 4 hours long & you had to schedule the time slot in advance. i was heartbroken. if i would have bought a membership for 600 for my son & i, we could have gotten an appointment within the next month. whatever you do avoid the luxor's so called exhibit! it sucked ass! sad

I would go visit the exhibit in NY, the Museum of Natural History. To me, it feels like you are there in ancient Egypt. I don't know if there's an exhibit where I presently live.

I saw the King Tut exhibit in the late 1970's in Los Angeles.

I was about 10 years old and remember it vividly to this day.

It is one of the most remarkable things I've ever seen in my life.

Oh yes! I was over there in 2006 because I had a report to do on Picasso. I stopped by the Egyptian exhibit. It takes your breath away. You're right. It's very big, and I get the same feeling.
