He is. nod And for some reason, I think he's safe with Jessica. I can see her trying to get in his pants (like in this last episode) before biting him.

To me, it seems they've toned it down a bit. It's still naughty, but we're not seeing Jason banging some chick at least once during each episode and that is fine by me.

Also, the pace is slower, like it's being dragged out a bit. I like it because when something does happen it's like POW!!!

falloff

I like the Jessica/Hoyt storyline. Hoyt is really sweet in the books so I hope nothing bad happens to him.

I think you're right. There is a difference this season.

I don't know if this is just me, but episode 2.2 seemed a bit dialogue heavy. I didn't notice that so much with episode 2.3, but the series is definitely now driven more by nuanced character study than raw action and thrill.

So far excited

I think this is all leading up to raw action and thrill. All this character development gets the viewer involved with the characters, emotionally invested in them even (to some degree). So when the fur starts flying it's even more exciting!

woot!

Then again, maybe not and it will be all build up with no explosion.

Can't wait to see...well, I'll be waiting 2 weeks anyways...stupid HBO. pout

Yeah, I'm not worried. If anyone knows how to pack a well-timed punch it's Alan Ball. smile

They are just the cutest together! I think he's safe with Jessica too. She's pretty much more like a teenage girl rather than a vampire.

I'm always 1 or 2 episodes behind, so I haven't been able to contribute to these threads.

But this episode was GREAT!!!!

The Jessica/Hoyt thing was awesome. Come on now...when Bill & Sookie walked in the house...didn't you EXPECT to see Jessica standing over a half-eaten cadaver???
nod

I can't wait to find out what that bull/man creature was that attacked Sookie. I'm betting it has to do with Maryanne. (She's a witch, right?)

And what's the deal with the disappearing pig - is that the butler you think?

Great show. Can't wait to see yesterday's episode!

I'm hoping the Hoyt/Jessica storyline isn't a one time thing. They are so adorable!
