Whats the longest vacation from work you've had?

I'm just curious. Whats the longest time off of work (and I don't mean fired) you've had. I have the benefit of working a job where I get all sorts of ridiculous time off... weekends, holidays, spring break, and summer vacation! All in all I only work 192 Days a year. Its kind of nice, the best thing is I get paid time off for all but one month of it. So how much vacation time do you have?

I'm on my fifth week of vacation now and back to work next Monday, and that's the longest break I've had with this job for the last 5 years. Usually I don't take more than 2 weeks at a time.

8 weeks paid annual leave so it's very cool. The longest I've taken off from work on 2 occasions is 3 months and that's when I was in Europe and the other when I was living in the states. I travelled around the east coast and then settled in Philly for work and play.

I currently get 3 weeks (15 days) plus 4 days paid "vacation" a year. It’s not nearly enough and I had to work for the same company for over 10 years to get it. It’s a shame this country doesn’t value a better work/life balance. If I had my own company I would allow much, much more time off for workers.

The most I’ve ever taken was 4 weeks when I went to Europe the first time. At least half of that was unpaid, though.

I don't think I've taken more than 1 week off at once. I'm currently on a 1 week vacation now!

Same here...3 weeks (15 days) + 4 personal days.
Not counting Holidays.

However, we're not allowed more than 1 continuous week off pout but I have managed to finagle 1 week plus the previous Friday and the following Monday off so that when we go away we have 2 full weekends.

I can take however much time off I need as long as I have the time stored up for it (as we accrue it in hours and it takes, like, 3 times your annual amount to max out) but we generally need "special permission" if it's more than 2 weeks in a row.

I can accumulate up to 50 PTO days, of which I have accumulated 47 days right now cloud9

Oh and the most I have ever taken off of work at one time is 5 weeks when I went to Mexico for my honeymoon in 1990.

3 years and counting as I finish my current graduate program. But I do still bring in income by single-handedly managing and maintaining our rental property.

If I took all of my time at once, I could take a five week, one day vacation.
But I'd never do it since I can't afford to go anywhere and I'd go stir crazy at home. So I take a few days each month.

I was off for 3 weeks for health reasons, though I tried going back twice in that time period. Now I'm using my vacation time, I really needed a long break and I resigned from the position though I'm going to start a new position in mid july at the same place.

Thankfully I've never been out of work and I now get 6 weeks vacation per year, but the longest I've ever been away from work is my 3 weeks in Hawaii many years ago. Awesome - I recommend it to everyone!!
