Jane Fonda spit on by Vietnam vet
Man calls actress traitor for her actions during war ----- Posted: April 20, 2005 5:32 pm Eastern © 2009 WorldNetDaily.com Michael Smith A Vietnam veteran was arrested in Kansas City yesterday for allegedly spitting on actress Jane Fonda during a book-signing event. Michael A. Smith, 54, reportedly waited in line for 90 minutes, passed a book to the Academy Award winner, and then spit tobacco juice into her face. Though he attempted to flee, he was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct. Fonda declined to prosecute Smith, and issued a statement through her publisher stating: "In spite of the incident, my experience in Kansas City was wonderful and I thank all the warm and supportive people, including so many veterans, who came to welcome me last night." Fonda has become a polarizing figure in the wake of the Vietnam War. In 1972, she was photographed laughing on a North Vietnamese anti-aircraft tank. She has since expressed regret, stating in 1988, "I will go to my grave regretting the photograph of me in an anti-aircraft gun, which looks like I was trying to shoot at American planes. It hurt so many soldiers. It galvanized such hostility. It was the most horrible thing I could possibly have done. It was just thoughtless." Smith told the Kansas City Star that Fonda is a "traitor" who had been spitting at war veterans for years. "There are a lot of veterans who would love to do what I did," Smith told the paper. The incident is getting reaction in online messageboards today, including the following postings: "As a veteran and a surviving son of a Vietnam casualty and a recent Kansan (5 years), I can express nothing but embarrassment for Smith's actions and how it reflects on our great community. My father didn't die, nor did I serve for any other reason than to allow others the very same freedoms we stood for. Smith ought to read Fonda's book, maybe it'll provide some closure that he's obviously struggling with." "I would like to pay Mr. Smith's bail. He is a true patriot." "I don't like what [Fonda] did and will never forgive her. If I was on a jury to sentence the tobacco spitter I'd say 'if she deserved the spit, you must acquit.'"

I've always admired her for that incident. It takes a ballsy person to do what she did.

I love her!
The other day I was watching The Morning After again after many years. The movie is not very good but the chemistry between Jane Fonda and Jeff Bridges is fantastic.

I had a baby named Jane, she could shake that thing
Said her daddy used to hang with Johnny Coltrane She sang on Soul Train, with her friend named Jen Her booty was bigger than a Mercedes Benz Jen was a hurdy-gurdy, dirty little girlie I heard it from a birdie she could cook a mean turkey With gravy, "Baby, baby, baby..." Baby was Jen's best friend and maybe If you were lucky - licky-licky, sucky-sucky "Mickey! Mickey! Fuck me! Fuck me!" More junk in the trunk than a Honda I know you wanna do The Jane Fonda! One, Two, Three, Four! Get your booty on the dance floor Work it out! Shake it, little mamma! let me see you do The Jane Fonda! Five, Six, Seven, now... If you don't know, lemme show you how To work it out, work it, little mama I know you wanna do The Jane Fonda I had a princess, Queen of Incest She was inbred, but Jean had big breasts And big eyes and a big ass to match Jean wasn't fat, she was easy to catch Then came Molly, a hood from Hollywood High So fly, she was trans-Atlantic She was a manic-depressive Which was impressive Very impressive; I had to test it Tasted like chicken and was lemon-scented She took me home to her mama I taught 'em both how to jane fonda CHORUS I had a girl named Dana, from Santa Ana She was a waitress at the Copacabana She was slammin' and her ass was jammin' Like Janet Jackson in the Rhythm Nation Her brother Jason had a girl named Grace And you could see her ass from outer space So I landed on her planet And planted a Mickey Av. flag in it, dammit! CHORUS - Mickey Avalon
