I'm saying, Subway gift card... a gift card of any sort, especially one for food that one will use, is a nice thought. Especially from someone who is now a father himself. Might be time to realize the re-direction of appreciation on Father's day.

My son got me a board game with racing cars, so that we could play together. Apparently he insisted on that one, his mum suggested others but he was dead set that it should be something we can play together.

He did me a painting on a canvas and made a card, which had a drawing of me on the front. Had an amusing moment later in the day, where he was looking at the card then looking at me intently and telling me what was not quite right about his picture. Would scan it if I could and show you all, but suffice to say that the ears being a little too big and the nose being in the wrong place, didn't really sum it up. He's 4 and a half, so I'm sure you can imagine. lol lol

In the evening we went out for dinner. I had a lovely day biggrin.

Oh and during the afternoon we went over the field with his bike and he rode under his own steam, without training wheels, for the first time. I was proud. cool

Awww, that's so sweet. touched

I still have the Mother's day cards my son drew and he's damn near 30! lol

our son was not in the mood..so I took an old drawing he made, wrote Happy Father's Day, and laminated it, putting his picture inside...

He handed it to Daddy saying "Happy Father's Day!" and his Daddy said "Oh, how great! Did you make this just for me?"

The wee boy says "No. Mommy made it for you, just now in the office."

He's four, what can I say lol

My dad is a racist ass who sends me nothing but Obama is a Muslim emails. sad Ppffft....I never saw him anyway. shrug

Same here except I'm the one that sent him an Obama birthday card last August a few months before the election that had a printed phrase on it...."Can you have a Happy Birthday...YES YOU CAN!" I wish I could have seen his face on election night when he won. evillol I have a sticker with a picture of Obama on it that came in the mail from my sister shortly after the election that said...."YES WE DID!". Hell, I should have sent him that sticker for Father's Day. evillol

I am jealous of y'all that have real fathers though...something that I've never known.

My daughter drew me a card, bought me another card and did a small painting. She stretched the canvas and everything by herself. I was impressed.
