Cultured Coconut and WHY I'M A BETTER PERSON THAN YOU! lawd, hammercy.
I just got finished eating a cup of this shit: As some of you may know, I disdain the American Dairy industry, but love ice cream and yogurt from time to time. See reasons why: http://www.peta.org/MC/fa...asp?ID=102 Anyways, for icecream I've discovered how to make diary free "almond" ice cream, homemade that's rich and chocolaty and far far better than the non-dairy stuff you see in the stores. Dare I say it, I like it as much as dairy ice cream. And for milkshakes a recipe involving frozen bananas, coconut milk, cocoa and vanilla beans makes some of the smoothest creamiest, most delicious shakes ever. But for yogurt, I have struggled in vain to find anything that comes even close to dairy yogurt. Moreover, I miss the British yogurt alot It's creaminess. It's smooth textures. It's non why based mixture. Lawd, it was good stuff. But here in America, yogurt tends to suck ass. The best yogurts are rather expensive, and furthermore, they all support the diary industry is which cruel and inhuman. One might as well own meat eating pets if you want to eat yogurt. Anyways, I discovered coconut based yogurt (or as the industry more accurately terms "cultured coconut'", and this stuff is heavenly. Far more tasty than anything I've bought off of American shelves, and with the additional benefit that there is no dairy associated with it. I've tried blueberry, strawberry and vanilla and they're all amazing! AMAZING!!! And for the afore mentioned reasons, consuming these products also makes me a better person than you. What products have you discovered recently that you love? shanti edit [Edited 5/2/09 8:45am]

I love making red curry with yummy coconut milk I have never seen that stuff. I do not like blueberries. Do they have a pineapple flavoured one?? I had a pretty good green curry last night at the O2 Arena before the concert. I was pleasantly surprised, best green curry I have had here so far.

I love Pineapple. I would imagine the pineapple would not hide the coconut flavor and actually just make it taste like a pina colada Where's this video?

No, and I want to desperately get back to it. Long story on why I can't right now, but I'll go back to it. Being 90% raw made me very happy.

That looks YUM and I would not have to share that, just like I do not have to share my soy milk.

That looks YUM and I would not have to share that, just like I do not have to share my soy milk. Almond milk is far better tasting than soy milk. The chocolate almond milk taste better than regular dairy milk, whereas I can always taste the "soy" in soymilk. You should try it. It's incredible.

I will check at a health food store soon. I had some plain almond milk in the states, my mom loves it. I like soy milk a lot, especially in my Special K. Regular cows milk is NASTY!

No, and I want to desperately get back to it. Long story on why I can't right now, but I'll go back to it. Being 90% raw made me very happy. I had a raw bar from my local grocery store and it reminded me of your raw food threads! that thread totally inspired me to check out raw dessert options....last month I made my first ever batch of raw coconut cookies with agave nectar, them shits were off the chain! I don't have (and won't have for some time) a food dehydrator, so I don't know how much I can explore, but the few recipes I found so far I love

There's this really great raw "burrito" recipe that uses ground sunflower seeds, Mexican spices, and avocados wrapped in lettuce leaves, that is just to die for.

Quorn Nak'd Chicken Breasts (vegetarian) are fantastic ~ also based in England, I think and can be difficult to find but Music is the language of the spirit. It opens the secret of life bringing peace, abolishing strife. --Kahlil Gibran

You should be able to get plenty of good raw yummies in Thailand.
But I'm not sure they have a Pizza Hut. No More Haters on the Internet.

It it made of mycoprotien (I'm still learning about that) and tastes delicious. No soy ~ it sort of reminds of chicken but without the blood and muscle taste ~ clean and very adaptable to all sorts of recipies. The Gruyere patties are great but high in fat.
