COPS PULL OVER AMBULANCE AND CHOKE HOLD PARAMEDIC.... Muscogee Creek Nation, OKLAHOMA - A fight between first responders and the cops made national news because a witness recorded it on his cell phone camera.
Police could be heard yelling at an EMT. "You are under arrest, you are under arrest!" It was a jarring scene, if only for its incongruity, a highway patrolman trying to arrest an EMT. All the while there was a woman in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. "A highway patrolman pulled my mom's ambulance over because he's mad we didn't pull over," said Kenyada Davis, who used his cell phone to capture the surreal situation sparked by an alleged insult. "What do you mean flipping me off?" That's what a trooper supposedly said to the EMTs, but the EMTs said they did no such thing as the trooper was driving by them. The tension culminates with a shove-fest and a hand around the throat of EMT Maurice White, who then asked the troopers who he should contact to report their assault. He said their response was, "It's not our job to receive criminal complaints against another officer." "I can't say much," said Thomson Gouge, Muscogee Creek Nation. "'Cause its such a hot button topic?" asked Burt Mummolo, reporter. "It is," said Gouge. The Muscogee Creek Nation oversees the ambulance crew and said they're waiting to see what unfolds from the DA's office. The EMT was never arrested. Meanwhile, OHP officials said the matter is under administrative investigation. Both the EMTs are back at work. As for the woman in the ambulance, she was on the way to the hospital for heat exhaustion. She is expected to be okay. Unfuckinbelievable first they taser a 72 year old and now they attack the very people that save lives....

They interviewed the emt on tv yesterday. That cop went waaayyy over his head and abused his authority. Totally ridiculous and unnacceptable behavior by the cop. What a total jackass. [Edited 6/17/09 8:23am]

That's a matter of opinion. any reference to 72 year old women living or dead is purely coincidental

How I saw it: The bitch-ass Cop got power hungry and REALLY didn't like a brotha challenging his authority.
What tripped me out was, the cop had ALREADY gotten to the scene they were speeding to, but he THEN DECIDED TO DRIVE AND TRACK DOWN THE AMBULANCE AFTERWARDS JUST TO PULL THEM OVER TO REPRIMAND HIM/TAKE THE DRIVER TO JAIL! What kinda shit is THAT? nWo: bboy87 - Timmy84 - LittleBlueCorvette - MuthaFunka - phunkdaddy - Christopher

Of course you are. Why wouldn't you be? We've both stated our opinion. I thought your post worked both ways that's why I used it in response. [Edited 6/17/09 20:41pm]

[Edited 6/17/09 20:42pm] I see u changed ur answer but I did read ur response. I wasn't linking the two deliberately, I was surprised and disgusted by the brutality of the cops caught on tape in both cases and so made mention of it.

Are the police allowed to use that type of choke hold against someone who they feel they need to control physically? (serious question, because I honestly do not read every state's police manuals lol)...
If not, that policeman is in some deep shit. If so, though, then the choke hold is the least of the issues on that video...because the "shovefest" that took place before the choke hold can (and will) be used as justification in the police doing so. Like it or not, if you start to physically confront or resist the police, they WILL use forceful tactics to control you.
