It's the twenty minutes between each sequence that did me in. What was with the space walk bit? Leave ship. Watch realistic real time transfer to other bit. WHY? I love sci-fi as a genre and I don't mind a realistic movie but this was taking the pee. IMHO of course I always skip all the apes at the start, I'm mostly interested in the costumes and silent space sequences

How can anyone hate Lost in Translation? It's beautiful. The definition of subtle and understated. I cried like a baby the first time I saw it.

As for my boring choices: * Mr Magoo - I think being chainsawed in half would've been more exciting. * Fracture - Oh, look, it's Anthony Hopkins in a creepy serial killer role, why does this film feel familiar? * The Da Vinci Code - I literally got through about 10 minutes. * Children of Men - The only part I liked was the fantastic sequence where they walked through a housing area getting bombed and everyone stops to stare at the baby then as soon as they're gone, the bombing starts again. I enjoyed Owen's character transformation, too. The rest? Eh. * John Tucker Must Die - Yes, he must. Too bad he didn't. * Bridget Jones 2 - OH MY GOD I WANT TO PUNCH ZELLWEGGER IN THE FACE. * Any Reese Witherspoon or Jen Aniston film - these women CANNOT act! * Music and Lyrics - WHAT THE FUCK? NO, SERIOUSLY. WHAT THE FUCK? * Golden Compass - I was all sleepy after we left the cinema, my friend was like "So how much of that movie did you actually see?" I was like "What movie?" Really? All the people that got killed along the way and the discovery of the first baby in decades and you thought nothing happened in the film? Interesting how people can see movies differently. i quite enjoyed this movie. the long action sequence was something else!

Boring? Really? There was so much racial tension in that movie that I was expecting everyone to explode at any minute. Then at the end they finally did. I can understand hating the movie, but not finding it boring.

i just didn't get it Any movie with female nudity holds my interest. Same goes for The English Patient. The only reason I watch that one is for Kristin Scott Thomas' bathtub scene. I finally saw what the cameras missed in Under The Cherry Moon.

It's a fascinating study on how too much honesty can destroy a relationship. Tom Cruise's character became obsessed with getting back at his wife after her marijuana-influenced confession of mental infidelty which led him down some dark and dangerous paths. I watch it every year around Christmastime.

"Because I Said So", which is the first Diane Keaton movie in my life that I can't stand...it's like watching paint dry, and I always fall asleep within 30 minutes of popping it in the dvd player for friends...
