As for the most boring film in history ever...

2001 A Space Odyssey.

I love movies and can sit through anything but this was just boring beyond belief. I can't believe that so many people rate this so highly. zzz

I think with 2001... the special effects were so high quality compared to anything else at the time... People highly rated it for that reason imo. I find it extremely boring too. Book was much better as I remember.

OH, Magnolia needed to be like an hour and a half shorter.

Though my Julianne's performance is SO awesome and it's one of the very few things I like Gay Cruise in.

Way too long.

Terminator 2 is still one of the best action movies made.
(Not as good as 'Matrix Reloaded.' Arguable the best action movie to date.)

I agree with Terminator 2 I think it is an action masterpiece. As for the 2nd and 3rd instalment of the Matrix I really tuned out it became very repetetive and tired for me. The 1st instalment Matrix I loved though.

Star Wars Episode IV - A New Hope (all versions of it)

All the Star Trek Next Generation Movies

The Breakfast Club

Pretty In Pink

Dances with Wolves

The Body Guard

Water World

Robin Hood (Prince of Thieves)

The Matrix Revolutions

That 4 Christmas movie with Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon

Miracle on whatever street (the Santa Clause movie)

The Divinci Code

Superman Returns (although I originally liked the movie, I tried viewing it a second time and realized how boring it was)

War of the Roses

Queen of the Damned

A Room with a View

Bridget Jones (though there were parts that made me laugh out loud)

Highlander

The Godfather (I finally saw some of it and couldn't sit through it)

Saturday Night Fever

Grease 2

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

Lost in Translation

The Devil Wears Prada

Born on the Fourth of July

Alexander (It might actually be a good movie, but I only lasted 20 minutes)

The Jewel of the Nile (sequal to Romancing the Stone)

Short Circuit

The Yearling (Except the last 10 minutes)

Titanic (Except the last 30 minutes)

Moulin Rouge (sp?)

Chronicals of Narnia - Lion, Witch ,Wardrobe

Tarzan the Ape Man (with Bo Dereck--only the shower scene was good)

The Blue Lagoon

On Golden Pond

Brady Bunch (the first one)

The Last Starfighter

Almost anything with Hugh Grant in it (I'm not blaming Grant as he's actually quite humorous in his roles--the movies just suck)

A View to a Kill

How Stella Got her Groove Back

Cruel Intentions

Almost all gay themed 'comedy romance' movies like "Billy's first Hollywood Screen Kiss"

Maximum Overdrive

Dune

Terminator 2 and 3 (4 gets a pass just cause of that hot dude)

America's Sweetheart

Next Friday (And I wasn't crazy about the original 'Friday' either)

The Cat in the Hat

Herby (the newer one with Lindsey Lohan)

My Own Private Idaho

Spawn (the movie)

Good Will Hunting

Batman, Batman 2, and Batman 4 (from the original movie franchise)

Every John Wayne Movie ever made.

Almost all Westerns except about 3 of them

Any light hearted comedies with single mothers or out of work blue collar workers living in big city bungalows way to expensive for most of my friends to afford.

oh yes. oh yes. one can never predict how awful a movie is going to be until he actually watches it. Then it's too late.

These are, of course, my OPINIONS.

I would have said Under the Cherry Moon and Graffiti Bridge as both movies lacked tension in them, but each movie is entertaining in it's own way. UTCM for it's overall vibe and really cheesy lines, and Graffiti Bridge because it takes itself way too seriously, and needs an orger "Rocky Horror" shout-along script.

That is a very good movie! Boring? I can't image being bored watching it. I've actually never heard that before.
It could have been 10 minutes long. Obelisk appears, investigate, learn. Another obelisk, investigate. Computer goes wrong, eliminate. Weird sequence, baby in space, end.

It's the twenty minutes between each sequence that did me in. What was with the space walk bit? Leave ship. Watch realistic real time transfer to other bit. WHY?

I love sci-fi as a genre and I don't mind a realistic movie but this was taking the pee. IMHO of course biggrin
RIP sad
